With the New Year almost here, we are sharing the 25 Most Popular Recipes of 2021. This has been a year of A LOT of new recipes, a lot of cooking, so much baking, and plenty of cocktail mixing…more than ever before! Below are the top 25 most popular recipes. Can you guess the most popular HBH recipe of the year? What’s your favorite?

This post is one of my favorite posts of the year!! I share this “Popular Recipes” post every year at about this time. Surprisingly, it’s always one of my more popular posts. I never think you’ll really enjoy any type of round-up style post because there’s no new recipe. But you guys have shown me otherwise. I guess it’s nice to have everyone’s favorite recipes all in one place for easy reference!
Personally, I love this post because it’s so fun to see all the major recipes hits. Many of which I would never have guessed would be so popular. Sometimes I share out recipes and think they’ll fall totally flat, but then you end up loving them! So this most popular recipes of the year post is always fun for me to see what makes the cut!
Before I dive into the recipes, I really just want to say a huge thank you to you all. It’s been so much fun seeing what everyone has been cooking and baking, especially this holiday season. I said this at Thanksgiving, but we’ve never seen so many HBH recipes being made…even more so this year than last! There’s been a whole lot of cocktail mixing, cinnamon roll baking, pasta tossing, and so much cookie baking. It’s incredible, and I’m extra thankful for you guys and your constant support and kindness. We love our little HBH family.
I hope you guys are having an amazing holiday break!!

Love…love your sight! I’m new to you, but have made several recipes, all of which received rave reviews! The favorite was Gruyère in pastry with rosemary and garlic, for a Christmas appetizer! We live aboard a sailboat so provisions aren’t always everything the recipe calls for. So I used fontina cheese and added dried cranberries for taste and color. OMG! It was delicious!
Hi Carolyn,
Thanks so much for following along and trying the recipe! I am so glad to hear it was enjoyed. Happy Holidays! xTieghan
Love and live off your recipes, always winners.
How can I stop all the ads that now appear on your site? So annoying.
Thanks,
Molly
Thanks so much Molly! Sorry, that isn’t possible, it’s our source of revenue:) xTieghan
Although I make recipes from your blog and cookbook nearly every week (and all of them get five stars from us), only one of the Top 25 showed up on this list. Like an earlier commenter, we’re very conscious of calories so the creamy pasta recipes which look delicious haven’t made the cut. Autumn Harvest Honeycrisp Apple and Feta Salad, however, was a huge hit! I’ve served it repeatedly to friends and family and have forwarded the recipe to many of them.
Hi Karen,
Thanks for trying so many recipes, I love to hear that you enjoyed the autumn harvest salad. Happy Holidays! xTieghan
I love, love, love your recipes but am trying to lose weight. Just wondering if you have some suggestions on how to reduce the calories especially in the creamy sauces recipes. I was thinking skim milk or maybe greek yogurt?
Hi Kelly,
Yes, skim milk and greek yogurt are great options:) xTieghan
Hi Kelly! A substitution I use frequently w/Tieghan’s recipes is “lite” coconut milk instead of cream. It has a thicker texture than skim milk, and less calories than cream. I can find it in a can or sometimes a reusable container in the Asian section of the store. You can use regular coco milk too, but it has a bit stronger coconut flavor. Nothing I’ve ever noticed ruining a dish, though. Happy new year!
Thanks so much for sharing Lindsey!
I’ve made 6 of them – and a 7th is on my menu for tomorrow! I make those chicken tacos ALL the time – they’re a house favorite. I was going to make the butter chicken for a date night one time but wasn’t sure if I wanted to impress him that much, so I didn’t 😛 The tortellini veggie soup is one of my favorite soups and everyone LOVED those monster cookies. Looking forward to making the Sticky Ginger Sesame Chicken and Brussels soon! Thanks again for all of your amazing recipes and I hope you have a great rest of 2021!
Hi Courtney,

I love SO many of your recipes but my absolute fav from this year that I have made over and over is the Greek meatballs with lemon butter orzo. The whole meal is fantastic and easy to make. It’s a definite hit for my husband and I!

Tieghan,
Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! What an impressive line up of wonderful recipes … all the creation of such a talented and inspirational person! And there are so many, many other recipes that are absolutely wonderful that aren’t on this list! I’ve been making your beef chili and crinkle brownies for several years! Much requested by family and coworkers. But what an amazing year of continuous creativity! Not sure how you do it, but you surely do! xoxo
Hi Mary,

I am a new subscriber to your website and am totally enamored with your food. I’ve put the word to several of my friends and we are enjoying your recipes so much. I love this post and can’t wait to make several of the top 25. I heard about your on Bobby Flay’s podcast that he does with his daughter Sophie. Happy New Year!!!!!
Hi Carol,
Thanks so much for reading along! I hope you enjoy the blog and any recipes you might try! xTieghan
I love this post because it’s always fun to see what won and make sure I didn’t miss anything! These posts can sometimes remind me of tasty recipes that aren’t in the front of my mind. I made most of these but the crispy buffalo chicken wraps are my family’s favorite!! We always make those wraps and then make the pizza with any leftover chicken the next day!! Even my son’s speech therapist tried the recipe and her husband said it’s the only thing he’s ever wished she would make again. Ha! Now she’s making all of your recipes. My sister in law is making your recipes almost exclusively now and her mother in law is making your recipes too! I tell everyone I know! I love your recipes and can’t wait for your next cookbook to come out. I feel so thankful for your recipes and for you teaching me to cook. These are the recipes that my kids will grow up and remember me by and come back for me to make! I love that. Thank you! Keep up the great work!

I love your photography, your creativity and of course, the delicious food! However, I wish your blog included healthier recipes with more freshness and more vegetable forward dishes, with less cheese and carbs. Always love the comfort food, just at my age, not realistic to eat so many calories.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!
Hi Lynn,
