With the New Year almost here, we are sharing the 25 Most Popular Recipes of 2021. This has been a year of A LOT of new recipes, a lot of cooking, so much baking, and plenty of cocktail mixing…more than ever before! Below are the top 25 most popular recipes. Can you guess the most popular HBH recipe of the year? What’s your favorite?

This post is one of my favorite posts of the year!! I share this “Popular Recipes” post every year at about this time. Surprisingly, it’s always one of my more popular posts. I never think you’ll really enjoy any type of round-up style post because there’s no new recipe. But you guys have shown me otherwise. I guess it’s nice to have everyone’s favorite recipes all in one place for easy reference!
Personally, I love this post because it’s so fun to see all the major recipes hits. Many of which I would never have guessed would be so popular. Sometimes I share out recipes and think they’ll fall totally flat, but then you end up loving them! So this most popular recipes of the year post is always fun for me to see what makes the cut!
Before I dive into the recipes, I really just want to say a huge thank you to you all. It’s been so much fun seeing what everyone has been cooking and baking, especially this holiday season. I said this at Thanksgiving, but we’ve never seen so many HBH recipes being made…even more so this year than last! There’s been a whole lot of cocktail mixing, cinnamon roll baking, pasta tossing, and so much cookie baking. It’s incredible, and I’m extra thankful for you guys and your constant support and kindness. We love our little HBH family.
I hope you guys are having an amazing holiday break!!

I’m so happy to get all of these recipes in one place to remind me of the ones I have tried and loved, and the ones that are still on my to-do list. The Parker House rolls recipe looks awesome. All that said, my favorite recipe of 2021 was the One Skillet Creamy Artichoke Chicken Marsala and Orzo. I made it several times for different crowds and everyone loved it!
Hi Debbie,
Thanks so much for reading along and making so many recipes. I love that you enjoy them! xTieghan
Love this post. It was like an extra Christmas present. Thanks!!
Thank you so very much Barbara! xTieghan
Lools like the author has a vested interest in the chicken business…..no recipes with turkey or pork and one with beef.
What is the point of this comment? Chicken is a very common and popular source of protein. However if that is not something you like then replace it with a source of protein you prefer. She has plenty of recipes with a variety of protein sources.
You do realize she wrote about the most popular recipes right? This does not mean she only posts chicken recipes but instead that many of her popular recipes included chicken. And there were several desserts included above too. Lastly I saw 3 recipes that included beef in them. I guess if her recipes are not what you are looking for, scroll on by. But I love her recipes and content.
I think this post is a result of the audience as it’s the most popular recipes of 2021. So it’s more that the readers have a preference of chicken. Tieghan has a great selection of other meat dishes within her catalog of recipes!
Dear Brian,
You may be having a difficult time this holiday season and if that is the case, I am sending you a virtual hug! It’s a hard time of year for so many people! Don’t take it out on Tieghan. This is a round up of what her READERS enjoyed.
Hi Brian,
If you are familiar with my recipes, you will no know I cook with plenty of other meats besides chicken. I did not pick this list, it is based on the number of hits, just so happens a lot of them contain chicken. Have the best week! xTieghan

I absolutely love your recipes!! I’m curious how do you choose your top. Is it a survey? Is it based on website hits? Is it based on ratings? One of my favs this year is not on the list– Pesto Tortellini Zuppa Toscana, deeeelish!

I made 50% of your recipe. I am not kidding. The other 50% is because we did have enough time and we kept doing the first 50% most of the time anyway. It was a good 2021 Tieghan. Looking forward to your heartwarming recipes in 2022.
Thank you so very much Farrah! I love to hear that your family has been enjoying the recipes! xTieghan

Hi Becky,
Awesome!! I am thrilled to hear this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for making it! Happy Holidays!? xT
The Healthier Creamy tortellini vegetable soup is amazing. I’ve probably made it 5-6 times this since I found the recipe. I add chicken to mine. The white chicken chili was amazing. So so good! Last but certainly not least we tried the chicken Marsala. It was fantastic. It is just me and my husband and I’ve found that cutting the recipe in half works well for us! I want to thank you for being so engaging. I honestly don’t know any other food blogger that answers questions as quickly as you do. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful recipes!
