Hi, hi and happy Sunday! Hope youโre all enjoying your weekend and these gorgeous September days. This is my favorite time of year weather wise here in Colorado. Itโs our fall, so the leaves are changing, the temperatures are in the lowย to mid seventies during the day, and the nights are very chilly. We had some cold rain this week, but Friday ended on a beautiful note and itโs been perfect ever since. Iโm crossing my fingers that the nice weather continues throughout the week as we have a really exciting shoot happening here all week long that I canโt wait to share more about soon.
Iโve spent this past week in the kitchen working on upcoming HBH content, different projects, and attempting to get a little organized. I have some travel coming up in the next couple of weeks, then more in October, and November as well. Therefore, Iโm trying to do my best to get as much done while Iโm home as possible. I know itโs only early September, but Iโve already started thinking about the holidaysโฆI know, I know, too soon, but Iโm trying my hardest to be organizedโฆ
So much easier said than done. Any super organized people out there who may have tips for me, please let me know. Iโm always looking for good organization tips/productivity hacks!
Anyway, coming up this week on HBH Iโll be sharing one of my favorite late summer tomato recipes, moving on to an addicting game day recipe (that happens to be healthy too), sharing a new cheesy soup, an updated Gerard family staple (thatโs healthier and so much more delicious). And Iโll be ending the week with my first apple recipe of the season. Oh, and finally a new fall inspired cocktail Saturday recipe. Sooo, lots of delicious thing to look forward to.

1. A Studio Barn Update.
Itโs been a while since I gave you guys a Studio Barn update and I am happy to report that itโs (mostly) DONE. We have our CO (certification of occupancy), working appliances, running water, a freaking PIZZA OVEN, and a completely empty space full of amazing potential. I am SO excited.
We still have a lot of work to do before we can show off the space to you guys, but updates will be coming in October and then more throughout the end of the year. This space has been two years in the making, so itโs safe to say that we are one, very ready to be done with building and dealing with all the annoyances that come along with building. And two, so excited to finally be able to jump in and actually use the spaceโฆand just in time for some really fun projects too.
That big shoot that I was talking about earlier has something to do with the new studio space. Youโre going to find out so much more this week, so be sure to follow along on Instagramย for real time updates! Feeling so grateful and excited.

3. Fall Candles that you HAVE to Haveโฆ.
One of my favorite things to do on fall nights is light a candle while I work away on the computer. Itโs amazing because even though I am working, I feel so relaxed with a candle slowly burning next to me. Below are my tried and true FAVORITES, and while they are not the cheapest, they are simply the best. So ENJOY.

I get this question so often and my answer is always the same, my Staub skillet. I use this every single day that Iโm in the kitchen cooking. If youโre looking to invest in one kitchen tool, itโs should be a good skillet and Staub is my favorite brand. I use my 10 inch every single day. Itโs my favorite size! How many people are you feeding though? Sometimes itโs just nice to have the 12 inch if you are only getting one skillet.

I have been following you for a long time now and, as always- love your honest posts as well as the recipes and photos (obviously).
I wanted to reach out to you- not sure this is the most appropriate forum- but- here goes. My family (my husband, sister and brother-in-law) started making wine about 10 years ago. It is now a full time pursuit and we just opened our little small batch winery. We are of course, so excited- canโt believe it is a reality.
