Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post.

Happy Cinco de Mayo and happy Derby Day! Two very exciting things happening today, and to be honest, Iโm not sure if I should be drinking margaritas or making mint juleps.
One thing I know for sure, Iโm totally making these Strawberry Bourbon Shortcakes this afternoon, and then most likely these asada tacos and theseย spicy margaritas tonight. Because letโs just be real, you guys know I canโt resist an excuse to make it a Mexican kind of night.
What are you guys doing?
Today Iโm sharing my Favorites post a little early, since I have a special Sunday post for you all tomorrow. I didnโt want to skip out on writing my Nine Favorite Things post, since these posts are truly my favorite. I have so much fun sharing the things that are inspiring me, and the products I am loving! Iโd love to know what youย most enjoy when reading my Favorites posts. Do you like when I share what fashion items are my favorites? Or beauty products? Would you prefer to see more food content? Let me know!
Coming up this week on the blog, Iโll be sharing a last-minute Motherโs Day brunch (also great as an appetizer) recipe, something sweet for breakfast, a healthy salmon recipe, a new favorite salad (that doesnโt include any type of lettuce), and a sweet and flaky dessert. So all good things!
If youโre planning your dinners for the week, be sure to check out this weekโs dinner menu below. And if you want a shopping list for all the recipes, sign up for my email newsletter here.
Hope you all have a great Cinco de Mayo and Derby Day! Enjoy this weekโs Favorites.
1. Inspiring Me this Week.
Camille Styles of Camille Styles.com. For the few of you out there who may not know Camille Styles, prepare to be amazed. Not only is Camille an incredible business women, super creative, and a mom to two young kids, but sheโs also one of the kindest and most sincere people I know. Sheโs truly just gorgeous from the inside out.
Iโve known Camille for years now, but finally was able to meet her in person this past January when we worked together on a project in her home town of Austin, Texas. If youโre looking for entertaining ideas, healthy lifestyle tips, easy recipes, parenting advice, and basically anything and everything in between, Camille Styles should be your go-to. I am constantly amazed by the amount of fun and valuable content Camille and her team put out on a daily basis.
Some of my favorite posts of hers include, their garden inspired Cinco de Mayo party, anti aging upgrades you need to make, 6 ways to become a more creative person (read this!), and what to wear to a fancy dinner.
I canโt wait to share the fun project we worked on together soon, stay tuned! And in the meantime, head over to Camille Styles or check out herย Instagram for some fun weekend reading.
2. The Most Popular Recipe of April.
To my surprise, the most popular recipe on HBH that I posted in the month of April was thisย Cacio e Pepe with Arugula and Lemon. I mean, donโt get me wrong, itโs an incredibly delicious recipe and I LOVE it, but itโs also so simple. Whatโs crazy is that I hesitated posting this recipe because I wasnโt sure anyone would find it all that exciting, but once again, I was wrong. You guys are LOVING this easy pasta recipe. Yet another reminder to myself to keep recipes simple, but fun.

What was your personal favorite HBH recipe from the month of April? Iโd love to hear some of your favorites. Please tell me what you all have made and how each recipe turned out!
PS. the runner-up was this Instant Post Thai Lemongrass Chicken.

Hey Tieghan! Your instant pot lemongrass chicken is one of my favorite youโve shared! I sent it to my boyfriend and he made it for dinner, and called me twice to tell me how good it was!
I know you post quite a bit about travel and travel inspiration, and while I personally do not have an instagram I love the account @flightsfromhomeโฆit posts extremely impressive airline deals based out of Salt Lake City. Colorado isnโt too far, so check it out!
Ooo thank you so much! I will definitely check out that instagram account! Also, I am so glad you are your boyfriend enjoyed the instant pot lemongrass chicken! Thank you Michelle!
I was surprised to find Nine Favorite Things on Saturday, but it is welcome any day of the week. I wasnโt going to comment and then decided that I would add my measly two cents worth today. You ask what your readers would like you to have in these posts, of course there are many opinions and requests. My opinionโฆNine Favorite Things are your nine favorite things in every delightful post and that is what I hope to find, always. Yes, yes, you want to please your readers and that is an important consideration. What this reader wants and enjoys is YOU! I will rely upon the wisdom of Dr. Seuss, once again, to say it for me : โBe who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind donโt matter and those who matter donโt mind.โ Thank-you!
Hi Ellen,
Thank you so much! I do share things that I am loving at the moment. I try to be as real and open with you guys as I can, but I also love hearing what youโre loving as well! Also, still loving that quote! It is a great one to live by.
Hey Tieghan,
I hope all is well and am sorry for not commenting in a while! I love your link to 10 tips for successful women. Do you have any good books youโve been reading lately? Also, I need help find a style (haha I like modern and minimalistic but donโt know where to shop) and love your style advice. Do you have any recommendations for comfortable work outfits? Iโm looking forward to your post tomorrow and hope youโre enjoying the warmer weather.
Hi Kristin! I am so glad you are loving this post. I do have a beauty and style page on my blog! It has all the clothes and beauty products I have been loving lately. It is under the shop page, but I will link it below. Maybe next week I will do work clothes.. cause cute clothes make you feel better! Haha!
Nine Fav Things idea: share some foods/recipes/cookbooks that are inspiring you or just love at the moment! Alsways like to hear about how you come up with recipes and approach cooking in general! Keep up the good work! ๐
Thank you Kristin!
I have followed 9 favorite things for the past 2-3 months and I love the fashion, beauty, decorating, and podcast recommendations not to mention the your fabulous recipes! Things Iโd love to see more of: Halloumi (completely obsessed) great books to read, and keep up the Nordstrom and Anthropologie finds, they are the best!!! Thanks for sharing so much with your readers. You in invite us into your life each week. ?
Hi! I am so happy to hear that you love these posts, they are so fun to write! Thank you for your feedback as well, I will try to incorporate more of that! ?
Have you ever tried the Cacio e Pepe recipe with a veggie noodle (zucchini maybe?) instead of pasta? It sounds so yummy, I may have to give that a try! Also, the link to the recipe didnโt work in my reader (Feedly), but I found it anyway because the pic looks amazing!!!
Hi Susan! I have not tried it, but I am sure it would taste amazing! Let me know how it turns out for you ?
I would love to see more beauty products in your Nine Favs! This is my favourite post of the week!
Thanks Emma! I would love to share more!
I only started reading your nine favorite things a few months ago, but what I enjoy the most is definitely the articles you share. Many times I find them very inspiring, right now I am excited to read the one about ten women giving career advice.
Regarding food content, I love that you share the most liked recipe of the month and also the runner-up!
Everything you make is magic! Iโm sitting on a plane right now and am literally getting SO hungry looking at this post haha! Airplane food just doesnโt cut it after looking at all your recipes haha.
