Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com

The Countdown Is On! Just a few more weeks until Christmas, and somehow I’m already feeling behind. I haven’t even thought about gifts yet… classic me. But I always pull it off in the end—I swear I thrive on the thrill of last-minute finds and overnight shipping!

How are you all doing with your lists? Your planning? Your traditions? I love hearing what everyone is up to this time of year—it always puts me in the holiday spirit.

I can’t wait for the rest of my family to arrive in Colorado soon. I’m really looking forward to Christmas break this year. There’s just something about the mountains in December that feels extra magical, and I’m excited to slow down and soak it all in.

This week is a busy one! I’ve got one more work trip—our Chicago Christmas Community dinner—and then a quick stop in New York before I’m finally home for the holidays. It’s going to be such a special season, especially with this being our first Christmas in the new studio. I want to make it so magical for everyone. And honestly… our snowy mountain town is just perfect right now.

Everything today is holiday-focused because, truly, this time of year is the most fun. I always feel like there’s so much to share. I hope you’re all having a cozy, festive weekend—and if you’re lucky, maybe even a snowy one. Enjoy this season while it’s here… we only get it once a year, so make it memorable.

1. Things I’m Loving.

loving…holiday nails. So many cute ideas! I only ever do solid colors, but these are fun!

everything in my cart (low)…Zara is absolutely the place to shop this winter. I’m loving their new winter collection. This patchwork faux fur coat is so pretty. I could see my sister, Asher loving this shearling jacket.

Love this Mini Shopper. I’d style it with this Brushed Effect Jacquard Knit or Alpaca Jacquard Sweater.

My mom would love this brushed knit midi skirt and Brushed Effect Jaquard Cardigan. And I know she would wear this reversible double faced faux fur jacket all winter, paired with this super cute and cozy alpaca balaclava. Adding all to her Christmas list.

Adding this Vegan Cozy Fisherman Hat to mom’s stocking this year!

dreaming of going…nowhere! I am so excited to be home after this week and to celebrate Christmas with my family. Fingers crossed it’s a very white Christmas!

shopping…for winter fleeces. I have my eyes on this Recycled Polyester Fleece from Halfdays, this Marina Collarless Fleece Jacket from Varley,  and this fluffy Extreme Pile Fleece Pullover. Or a cozy Polar Fleece Pullover.

shopping…fun games and crafts to do with the family at Christmas! Yule Never Guess, 12 Games of Christmas. And for kids: Santa Claus Go Fish, Christmas Bingo, and Santa Claus Charades.

festive home of the week…Christmas In Our Home 2025 – Whimsy, Color, And Non-Traditional In A Really Cozy Way.

watching…My Secret Santa (mom watched this last night) and every other cheesy Christmas movie I can find. What are your favorites this year?

something fun…Make A Hallmark Christmas Movie And Find Your Perfect Holiday Starbucks Drink. What drink are you? Fun fact: I would never order this. I’m a hot latte only kind of girl.

everything in my cart (high)…I love this color of this scarf from The Frankie Shop. So festive! But I see it’s now sold out. Here’s a beautiful, less festive alternative.

And if you are traveling this season, everyone needs this Soft Empire Carryall Bag from Coach. For it’s size, it is actually incredibly affordable. Plus, it’s so cute and holds A LOT.

following…Vintage Holiday. You must follow this account if you love Christmas as we do. I am dying. Its vintage decor is adorable! Scroll for a few minutes, and you’ll instantly be filled with holiday cheer!

Of course, happy to share! Let me know which recipes you try, I hope you love them all!

      Happy Holidays!

  2. WOW! Congratulations on your GMA appearance, you deserve it! I can’t wait to look it up. You generously shared a wealth of great information with us today, thank you. P.S. my favorite movie is the Holiday.

    1. Aww thank you so much, Greer:) I appreciate you watching and your kind comment. I love The Holiday!

  3. Did you get to spend some time with your brothers when you were all in NYC together? It seems like you’re close family is always spread out across the world!

    1. Hey Linds,
Yes! Everyone has a lot going on and different commitments, but it was nice to be with them:)

Thanks for reading today! Happy Sunday!

  4. I am meeting my daughter and 12 year old granddaughter in NYC this Thursday through Sunday to create some holiday memories. Can you recommend some restaurants that are casual and fun? Thanks so much!

  5. I just watched your IG stories, are you opening a Christmas shop in the studio? Or do you just like having duplicates of your favorite ornaments?

    1. Hey Suzanne,
Plans have changed for sharing the studio:) I promise we are going to share, just want to make it special!

Thanks for asking, have a great Sunday!

  6. Happy holidays to you! I was thinking about Christmas shopping and the one thing I’ve found is that good coffee (Corvus or Pablo’s – local to CO) makes great gifts. I also ordered olive oil from a winery in Italy we visited in 2022 (Santa Benedetta). It is the BEST olive oil I’ve ever tasted, so pure and so rich in flavor/color, their wine is equally as delicious. Edible gifts these days are definitely the way to go vs. materialistic in my opinion, when everyone on my list has everything and doesn’t really need much. I also got my mom a trellis from Vego gardens for next summer that she can add to her raised garden bed.

I also love all your cookie links and the cookie decorations.

    1. Hey Emily,
Thanks so much for taking the time to read today and sharing your favorite things to gift. I think edible gifts are such a great idea!

Let me know if you try any of the cookie recipes! Happy Holidays!

  7. I can’t believe you don’t have White Christmas on your list- such a classic with great music and beautiful costumes. We also love A Christmas story in our house. The Christmas chronicles movies are also two new favs! We also always watch the lion the witch and the wardrobe at Christmas time too!

    1. Thanks so much, Amber! Love these suggestions, it’s always fun hearing what everyone’s favorites are!

      Have a great Sunday!

  8. My favorite Christmas movie is The Muppets Christmas carol- Oslo would love it! I still watch it every year as an adult.

  9. Aww so sweet to finally share an nyc trip with some of the fam! Must be a nice change from all the solo trips. Any pictures of all three of you siblings to share? Feels like so long since we’ve seen the family together. I’m sure you can’t wait to be in Italy cheering on Red!

    1. Hi Caro,
Thanks for taking the time to read today! Yes, we had a great time and it was a nice change:) We are so excited for Italy!

Have a great Sunday and Happy Holidays!
