A Bewitchingly Halloween Chili Dinner | halfbakedharvest.com

Nine Favorite Things.

Hi everyone! Wow, this week felt like such a blur, it went by so fast, and I can’t believe it’s already Sunday!

We have a big week ahead, followed by almost two weeks of travel. It’s always such a busy time of year, but I love it. Even though it can feel a little chaotic at times, I’m so grateful to be creating things I love and sharing them with all of you, especially as we head into the holiday season. This is always when I feel most inspired!

I spent a lot of time this week prepping for our 2025 Thanksgiving menu. I’m so excited to start pulling it all together for the site. I know so many of you look forward to the menu going live on November 1st, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on. I even did a poll on Instagram to gather ideas. The responses were so interesting (and helpful!). It’s clear everyone’s already in a festive mood and excited for the holidays to begin.

Aside from holiday planning, the week was filled with cooking, brainstorming, and lots of writing. This coming week will be more of the same — another big push. But we do have an exciting walk-through of the new HBH Studio Barn with our design team on Thursday. The space is finally getting close to being finished, and I’m beyond excited to share more with you. Slowly but surely, it’s coming together!

The remodel has definitely taken longer than we ever imagined, but I know it’s going to be worth the wait. Thank you all for being so patient with me during the process — keeping up with everything hasn’t been easy! I do have a little plan in my head for what’s next… but that’s top secret for now.

On a totally different note — did you all shop Prime Day this week? I ended up grabbing a super cute half-zip jacket that should be here next week. It was such a good find, and the price was a steal!

Other than that, it’s been all about holiday prep around here. I’ve already ordered new holiday decor (it’s so cute!), and we also have a fun launch happening at the end of the week. It’s just a little something, but I think a lot of you will be really excited about it. Can’t wait to share!

That’s about it from me this week. I’m burning my pumpkin smash candle along with an apple cider candle (I say this often, but I think the real secret is burning them together). Make your Sunday cozy: bake something sweet (pumpkin cookies are my Halloween favorite), sip hot chocolate if it’s chilly, and maybe make a cozy pot roast for dinner.

And now I’m rambling — have the best Sunday!

1. Things I’m Loving.

loving…The Chanel Spring 2026 Ready to Wear collection. Wow, this show was beautiful. Everyone who follows fashion was taken aback by it. Stunning.

everything in my cart (low)…a really pretty Reversible Jacket from Zara. This will be cute not through November. Style it over this Oversized Knit Sweater and these low rise wide leg jeans. Pair with these Split Leather Stiletto Heel Boots – or these kitten ankle boots are pretty too.

This is a pretty Fur-Effect Coat from Mango.

I’ve been ordering different cozy pieces for upcoming travel days. This Amazon hoodie is perfect. Also, this Alo Scholar Hooded Sweater and Straight Leg Sweatpant. Plus these Airbrush Bootcut Leggings. I’ll let you know my favorites.

sharing…my podcast with Dr.Will Cole is live! Cozy Cooking, Delicious Recipes & Real Talk  – listen to it here.

listening to…Love, Family and Business: How To Work With a Partner with Jens Grede. This is great. I especially enjoyed the conversation around anxiety.

shopping…advent calendars. Eek, I’m so excited. I’m going to spend a little more than usual and get this 24 Day Advent Calendar in Silver. A new jewelry piece all December long! Or this gorgeous Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest 12 Door Advent Calendar. I love a fun Advent calendar! Personally, I would love the Diptyque Paris Advent Calendar – 25 scented treasures.

Some other ideas below!

ordering..holiday PJs. I found these cute gingerbread PJ pants, and I think I need to get them for the girls in the family. You can get the matching top too. And they come in kids’ sizes and baby sizes, both made using 100% organic cotton.

Or I love these Softest Flannel PJ Pants in the color trucks. These also come in kids’ sizes. So many crazy, cute holiday PJs for kids! I love all the patterns.

All would be cute with these Cozy Wool Xmas Socks.

everything in my cart (beauty)…Haley Bieber is all about this Body Contour Set, so naturally, I’m curious to try it. I dry brush every night, but maybe I need to try using this lymphatic drainage oil + body gua sha tool that comes in the set.

Love the sound of this YSL Beauty Libre Vanille Couture Eau de Parfum.

I emptied one of my favorite serums again this week, Eighth Day Serum. It’s made with 24 bioidentical peptides, amino acids, and growth factors that mimic the skin’s own ability to renew, restore, and regenerate. My skin always glows after using this in the morning. It’s a splurge, but it lasts a long time – I love the results!

I love this Bio-Collagen Real Deep MaskAnd lastly, Mutha Body Butter and Body Butter Melt, my favorites.

Something I really related to this week…The Everygirl published a piece about the new Taylor Swift album that touched on something bigger than music. The writer pointed out how In 2025, we’re still doing this to women: demanding they pick a lane, stay in a box, and make themselves easy to define and label. I feel that deeply. I often feel pressure to stay at home, stay in the kitchen, and just keep cooking and creating recipes the way I always have. But of course, as a woman, I want to grow. I want to try new things, share new ideas, change my mind, and probably mess up along the way — and that should be okay.

Being judged online can make that tricky (I touched on this a bit last week), but I think this article had such a thoughtful perspective on the topic. I related to so much of it, and I think it’s something worth reflecting on. If that resonates with you too, spend a little time reading the article — it’s a good one.

everything in my cart (high)…I think my mom would die over this quilted shearling-trimmed wool down jacket. Though she’d probably say she wish is was hooded. Also, both my mom and younger sister, Asher, would look so cute in these Burberry shearling earmuffs.

Loving this pretty Miu Miu shearling fur stole and this fun leopard print shearling calf jacket.

This Reformation Lucine Dress will be really cute for upcoming holiday parties.

5. Thanksgiving 2025 is almost here!

Our 2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Guide | halfbakedharvest.com

It’s that time of year again — I’m building my Thanksgiving 2025 menu and table, and I’m so excited about it! I’ve been working on this a lot lately, and I already have a pretty good idea of what I’ll be sharing with you all.

But I’d love to hear your ideas too! What does your Thanksgiving look like this year? Are there any recipes or traditions you’re especially excited about?

Some additional questions…

Thanksgiving recipe request – tell me what you need this season!

I would love to hear the recipes you’re hoping for, plus any other Thanksgiving-related tasks I can help with. Tell me everything – from recipes to tips you’re hoping to see, planning, decor, all of it! I want to help you and your family have the best Thanksgiving!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving cocktail, food, and dessert?

I’m just so curious about this one! For me, I always love a good Thanksgiving punch — something festive and fun to sip on all day. When it comes to food, the salad and sweet potatoes are always my favorites (and I can never resist a really good roll… or popovers!). And for dessert, it’s all about Mom’s chocolate chip cookie pie or her classic pecan pie for me.

  1. Happy Sunday! I was looking at attending one of your events, but i already have a cookbook. Is there a link to buy a non-cookbook ticket? My family isn’t really into cooking, so not really able to gift it either.

    1. Hi Nell,
Thanks so much for asking! Unfortunately, that is not an option, so sorry! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

  2. I am confused – are people telling you that you can’t do lifestyle content? You’re a grown woman, you are in charge of yourself! Do what you want girl!

  3. Good morning! I am always assigned desserts for our large family Thanksgiving dinner. I make the usual suspects, pumpkin, chocolate pecan, etc. but a recent favorite is my Cranberry Key Lime Tart. I pipe merengue decoratively on top and brown with a torch – beautiful, festive and refreshingly different! We always run out. Looking forward to more inspiring NFTs from you as we progress through this most lovely season!

    1. Hi Susan,
Thanks so much for taking the time to read today:) I loved reading about the desserts you make for Thanksgiving, your Cranberry Key Lime Tart sounds delicious! Have a great week ahead!

  4. Just love this email each Sunday! It’s my weekly, Sunday morning relax time just reading through and pinning recipes, products and ideas. I look forward to this ritual each week! Thanks for all your fabulous content!

      1. Hosting Thanksgiving for the first time in years and can’t wait to do a brined turnkey! I also always include a twice baked mashed potato casserole and a pumpkin cheesecake with bourbon whipped cream. Excited to watch your feed for some new side dish ideas and add a mocktail recipe from your site to our menu.

        1. Hi Tamara,
Wow! That all sounds sooo good! Best of luck this year hosting, I’m sure all will be great! Happy Sunday!

  5. So sorry to feel that you’re feeling trapped in the kitchen! Maybe taking some time and effort to separate your professional life from your personal life would help get you out of this rut? I know your travel is usually for business and your good friends are also work colleagues and partners. Traveling, spending time with friends, or exploring new things for fun (and not for work!) could be a great source of inspiration and clarity. I think a bit more balance could be just what the Dr ordered before jumping directly into a new content direction.

  6. I mean this in all sincerity but what exactly is keeping you from doing what you want? If you want to do more lifestyle, go for it! I think your community would be supportive, as many have asked you to take us along for the renovation of the studio! That would have been such a great feature. You’re an adult & in charge of your own life, so do what you want and disregard the naysayers! Life is too short to keep saying you want to do things without taking action. Branch out girl, you’ve got this!!

    1. Hey Rita! This is such a sweet comment, thank you! I could not agree more! I’m totally here for doing my own thing and very excited to be doing just that!! It’s amazing to have such an awesome community who supports me. Thank you!!

And don’t you worry, over time I will be sharing the new studio, bit by bit. As I have mentioned it’s taken much longer to complete that we anticipated!!!

Thank you again and have a wonderful week!

  7. I have been anxiously awaiting renovation updates, so I can only imagine how you must feel! Exciting that things are progressing. Are you working with Amber Lewis on the design? I just love her.

I’m sorry you feel stuck/like you can’t grow and change. I say go for it! It’s never too late to try something new. You have soooo many recipes already, we would totally understand if you want to make a change.

    1. Thanks so much for your kind message, Liz!!

Yes! Renovations are almost done and I cannot wait to share all the things! Stay tuned:) Happy Sunday!

  8. I look forward to my Sunday mornings every week and start my day with Nine Favorite Things. It really does throw me off if I don’t read it first. This issue is packed with amazing recipes. I don’t know which to make first. There’s not a week that goes by that I’m not making at least one of your recipes for dinner. Ignore the haters. You’re doing amazing things and have built an incredible brand. Keep going!!!

    1. Hey Sarah,
Thanks a lot for reading each week:) So glad you enjoyed today’s post, let me know if you end up making any of the recipes! Thanks for being here and your kind message. Happy Sunday!

  9. Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard Fam, and HBH Team! Tieghan, I have been loving your fall content. I read every week but my favorite time by far is when you are in holiday mode! It’s so cozy and warm. I’m so glad you are exploring new ideas for HBH outside of just recipes (although they are all delicious)! I can’t wait to see where you go next. Have a wonderful week ahead!

    1. Hey Jen,
Thanks for reading as always:) You know I love the fall and the holidays, so I love that you enjoy the content just as much as I do! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

  10. I don’t know who is making you feel like you have to stay in the kitchen, it’d be great to see you reinvent yourself! You have a large following and your recipes will always be there, maybe doing something different would help your anxiety, I can’t imagine still doing the same job I did when I was 19. There will always be critics no matter what you do, follow your dreams! You always say food styling is your real passion, maybe step back from the cooking and focus on the style side of things.

    1. Hi Jana,
Thanks so much for reading today! I appreciate your feedback and encouragement:) Have a great Sunday!

  11. The recipes always look delicious! Do you have a recipe for boudain dressing? Looking forward to your Thanksgiving recipes!

    1. Thanks so much, Jane! So sorry, I do not have a recipe for boudain dressing. Hope you are off to a great fall Sunday!

  12. Sorry to hear that you feel trapped in the kitchen- you have built HBH brand up incredibly over the last decade. If you are loosing passion for it- please, try something else! You surely have many connections from all your collaborations and could definitely find something new if you wanted. You’re so talented! Please know, you are very appreciated and while HBH does have many fans and is a huge platform, we all would like to see you happy.
I hope you have a great day!

    1. Hi Heather,
Thanks a bunch for reading today and taking the time to comment. I wouldn’t say I am losing passion for cooking, just want to be able to expand and share more life style things with you all:) Thanks for the support! Have a great Sunday!

  13. Tieghan,
This is meant as a compliment, You make the most awesome witch I have seen and remind me of the wicked witch of the West, you would have made Judy Garland cower in fear!
My favorite foods of Thanksgiving are pork sausage stuffing from inside the oven roasted turkey and pumpkin pie, with Mom’s apple pie in third place!

    Happy Holidays,
    Jim

    1. Hey Jim,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading! I had fun dressing up as a witch, so thank you for that compliment:) Loved reading about your favorite Thanksgiving foods. Enjoy the week ahead!

    2. Jim, A great witch!! I thought the very same thing but didn’t know quite how to say it…you said it perfectly!

  14. Again, thanks for this. My Sunday morning tradition is my maple latte & reading your weekly updates!
Thanksgiving is pretty quiet at our house-it’s the two of us & the critters (who do it ear “people food”!) We are so busy the rest of the year that we really appreciate the day to nosh, eat & relax. Macy’s Parade-here’s to you!
The one special thing we do is get salty Oceanside oysters from our local seafood place. We live 5” from the Atlantic Ocean & our seafood monger is the best! I never cared for oysters until my mother-in-law (RIP Mary Lena) taught us her way of making them-coated in cracker meal, rested overnight in the fridge then fried. Messy but messy food is always so delicious!
Have a wonderful week & keep doing g you!

    1. Hi Dale,
Thanks for reading each week! A quiet Thanksgiving sounds quite nice to be honest and what a fun idea to get oysters! Thanks for sharing:) Have a wonderful fall Sunday!
