Nine Favorite Things.

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!

I’m finally back to traveling after taking time to properly heal my foot, and wow—it’s been an adjustment. A couple of months ago I was in a solid travel groove, then I slipped right back into my cozy homebody routine. Now I’m finding my way again, but transitions are always a little tricky for me (especially with my anxious tendencies!).

I sometimes wonder if I overshare these little life updates, but so many of you have truly grown up with me—or watched me grow up—that it feels natural to share. Writing these posts always feels like opening up a journal, and I have a hunch that if I’m feeling this way, some of you probably can relate too.

That said, this week has been such a fun return to being on the go. I started in Dallas for a couple of days with LTK, the platform so many of us creators use to share products and recommendations. I was honored (and nervous, but excited!) to speak on a keynote panel about building a personal brand and website—something my mom and I have poured our hearts into for 13 years now. The panel, led by the amazing Reesa Lake, was such a highlight for me.

Following the panel were the LTK awards, for which I was nominated for the Food Creator of the Year! I was only told I was nominated a few days ago, so I wasn’t really thinking much about it. But to my shock, I won! I never ever expected to win anything. In fact, this is my first major award! It’s no gold medal like my little brother Red’s, but it feels special to me to be recognized by my peers in the industry in such a positive way. It was a great way to end my time in Dallas!

From there it was a quick pack-up and an early flight to New York. It’s shaping up to be a busy week here, but being in the city in September is always inspiring—it’s such a pretty time of year. We’ve set aside the last couple of days for photoshoots, and I can’t wait to share those with you soon.

Also, if you missed it, here are 40 of Our Favorite Fall Game Day Recipes!

1. Things I’m Loving.

pinch me, this is so flattering…our Apple Cider candle landed on the Who What Wear Fall Must Have list. This candle truly captures the scent of September, but it’s amazing all season long. And come October, we’re on to Pumpkin Smash!

wanting…autumn flowers. I love the collection that The Bouqs has available this season. I think my favorite is the cinnamon spice bouquet or the mixed fireside glow. And I am preordering the spooky party box.

everything in my cart (low)…Zara drops continue to get better and better. I love this short trench (the high collar is so cute). You could style this Oversized Knit Sweater underneath on chillier days, OR try this Limited Edition Leather Bomber Jacket. It’s a higher price point for Zara, but a staple piece you can wear for years. This is a nice Cotton Boat Neck T-Shirt for fall to winter layering. Another jacket, love this Short Faux Leather Jacket.

The perfect pair of Leather Cowboy Ankle Boots. You can style them with this Plain Knit Polo Sweater and Satin Effect Lace Midi Skirt. Such a cute look for fall.

So many ways to wear all of these pieces! Do you guys do a lot of Zara shopping? My mom, littler sister, Asher, and I love a lot of their pieces. And Zara Home is still my favorite place to shop.

listening to…Mimi Bouchard, Manifestation Expert: How To Attract More Wealth, Supercharge Your Confidence, Glow-Up Hacks & More (Must Listen!).

loving…my dream backyard someday. Emily Henderson’s FULL Farmhouse Property Tour (With Before + Afters Galore).

shopping…the new Reformation jewelry launch. Finally, cute, decently priced jewels to shop! Eyeing the Joan Earrings and Cuff, both in silver.

wanting…if you want something to style your fall home with, this Wooj Design The Pleat Table Lamp is cute. The Amber color is perfect.

everything in my cart (beauty)…the new PHLUR Cherry Stem Eau de Parfum is the scent of fall.

Loving fall nails right now. I almost went with cranberry red on mine, but decided to go a little moodier and opted for a very pretty burgundy instead. What’s your favorite fall nail color?

I told you…We Tried 18 Different Brands of Peanut Butter — And the $5 Winner Is What We’ll Stock in Our Pantry Forever. The Whole Foods 365 creamy peanut butter is unbeatable. I use it for cooking, baking, and with toast. It’s so good!

everything in my cart (high)…I’m currently loving cape coats, and this Cashmere Hooded Cape from Burberry just looks cozyyy.

And these new season Fendi Knee-High Boots! LOVE.

yum…a Smoked Salmon Breakfast Bowl. Great for getting in protein AND fiber first thing in the morning. But this would also make a great lunch!

4. Fall Trend I Love.

Fashion – layering and cape tops

My favorites right now are this Toteme Slit Sleeve Blouse and this Detachable Scarf Top from Helsa.

Home – game nights and statement blankets

Into fall game nights with board games, a crackling fire, cozy drinks, and a chill vibe. If there are cozy throws and a few candles involved, even better.

Food – apple cider

Ok, I’m making this trend up. But apple cider and apple butter are two of my favorite fall ingredients. Use cider for cocktails (or baked cider doughnuts). And apple butter for cookies (Oh, and these cookies too). I have so many recipes!

  1. Congrats on your LTK award for sharing affiliate links with your readers! Like you always say, your community comes first! And its so fun to see a glimpse of you all glammed up being honored by your true peers. Not an Olympic medal, but I’m sure it’s the first of many. Keep up the good work.

  2. Wow! Congratulations on your award!!! So great to be recognized by your peers!!! I love all the Honey Crisp Apple salad versions, especially the one with the Feta – I plan on bringing them to some potlucks this Fall. Have a great week!

  3. Help! I think your links are wrong for the book signings. No option to buy tickets.

Also Im kinda bummed that you stopped doing Ask Tieghan already! I thought that was a fun idea.

  4. Congratulations Tiegan! What a wonderful honor to receive this award!! And you can go back and visit your ⭐️ Star! 💜💜 I made your roasted butternut squash orzo salad with candied bacon yesterday and it was a HUGE hit! Your recipes are amazing! Can’t wait until October 28th!!!!! Happy Sunday.

    1. Hi Sarah,
Thanks so much for reading today and your thoughtful message! Thanks for trying the salad, it’s such a great fall recipe. I appreciate you following along!

    1. Hi Ana,
Thanks! LTK is the first and biggest Creator-guided shopping platform, where brands and content creators collaborate with shoppable content. LTK allows Creators to monetise their content by sharing products from partner brands. Thanks for reading today!

  5. You talk a lot about your anxiety – have you ever considered treatment or medication for it? It doesn’t have to rule your life like it does now! ❤️

    1. Hey Sharon, medication just is not something I am very comfortable. I prefer to have coping skills built to help me. This is just what works best for me personally. Thank you for the sweet note. Have a great week!!

  6. Tieghan, I am sitting here, early morning Sunday, on the living room couch devouring your newsletter. Everyone is still asleep and this is my quiet time. I enjoy the tone of your newsletters…it’s like we’re all friends and simply chatting away about everything. I know there is so much effort in preparing these newsletters and I know it ‘takes a village’ to complete. If you ever return to Toronto for another book signing would love to have more interactive time with you (which I know would be hard). I agree that family is everything and I love that your entire family supports you in many ways. Please keep on being ‘you’ !

    1. Hi Marlie,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading! I am so glad you enjoy the posts each week, that really means so much to me. I would love to return to Toronto! Thanks for being here and following along!

  7. Congratulations on your LTK award! It is well deserved. Thank you so much for all of your great inspiration. I have printed off at least 5 recipes from this post that I will be trying out. Can’t wait! I always look forward to sipping my coffee and reading your blog on Sunday mornings.

    1. Hi Nicole,
Thanks for your kind message:) I appreciate you reading along each week and trying the recipes.

Let me know what you make from today’s post, I would love to hear how they turn out for you! Happy Sunday!
