Nine Favorite Things

Happy Sunday and happy August! Iโ€™m so excited for this new month. I know some of you might be dreading the late-summer heat, but honestly, thatโ€™s one of the things I love most about this time of year.

Weโ€™ve got a lot coming up this month! I spent a good chunk of the week working on mood boards for some upcoming photoshoots happening in just a couple of weeks. This is actually the longest Iโ€™ve stayed in one place without traveling in a while. Kind of funny considering I used to hate travelingโ€”but now I miss it so much and canโ€™t wait to be back on the go again soon!

Does anyone else love a good mood board? I use them for everythingโ€”photoshoots, website design, logos, product developmentโ€ฆyou name it. Iโ€™ve been making them since I was a kid.ย  They used to be a hodgepodge of magazine cutouts, but now I build mine online with Canva. I always start with a Pinterest board, then drag the photos over into Canva to make each mood board special. They help me stay focused and inspiredโ€”especially as such a visual person.

If youโ€™re like me and enjoy visuals, I love this Vision Board kit Camille Styles created. Itโ€™s a nice project to do seasonally and always keeps me inspired.

Aside from the photoshoots, we have some product launches this month that I canโ€™t wait to reveal. More details on that below! Plus, of course, lots of new recipes. Iโ€™ve been working on a zucchini, corn, and peach recipe this past week that I hope to get right. And I have a fridge full of raspberries, I will find a way to use.

Itโ€™s been a good week. And for those of you whoโ€™ve been askingโ€”thank you! My ankle is feeling much better. Iโ€™m not quite back to full speed, but Iโ€™m definitely making progress and so grateful for your kind messages.

As we look ahead to September (I know, how is that even possible?!), thereโ€™s so much to come. Fall is right around the cornerโ€”and even though I love these long, sunny days, you know my heart belongs to fall.

What have you been up to? Anything youโ€™re looking forward to?

Please share below!

1. Things Iโ€™m Loving, Wanting, and Excited to Try.

lovingโ€ฆfresh summertime peaches! I just finished shooting a new peach recipe and I canโ€™t stop. I was sent a box of the sweetest prettiest peaches last week from Peaches LA, and I have savored every last one. New peach recipes are coming this week and next, but then come September 1st, Iโ€™ll be in full-on apple mode. If you need something to bake this weekend, try my Peach Magic Cookies,ย Cinnamon Crunch Peach Muffin Bread, or myย Caramel Peach Dump Cake. All are DELISH!

eatingโ€ฆBaja Gold Mineral Sea Salt. Sprinkle this over an avocado. It makes forย  the perfect satisfying, nutritious snack. You could add cherry tomatoes and crumbled feta too. Yum!

ย

enjoyingโ€ฆLineage Provisions. Finally found a collagen powder I like. I mix this into my coffee every morning. Also love their air-dried steaks, and Iโ€™m giving their original protein a try too!

everything in my cart (low)โ€ฆlots to share here.ย First off, the Frankieโ€™s Bikinisย Cotton Mini Dress is so pretty. I feel like itโ€™s very fit for September โ€œback to schoolโ€ days.ย Or try this Reformation Linen Dress.

From Zara, a very cuteย Knit Cardigan With Elbow-Length Sleeves. I would pair this Striped Oversized Poplin Shirt, with these Extra Wide Leg Jeans, andย Running Sneakers.

This is a perfect Halter Jacquard Dress. And an even more perfect Cotton T-Shirt (into the strips!).

And aย Suede Maxi Tote for the end of summer and fall.

Lastly, a perfect pair of Poplin Wide-Leg Pajama Pants from Old Navy.ย ย

shoppingโ€ฆArie bras. This is a bit random, but a friend told me to try the Sunnie Wireless Push Up from Arie because she loves it so much. She actually bought 3! Itโ€™s been great. I like it because itโ€™s wireless, but still gives a small amount of push-up, which I appreciate!

ย

wantingโ€ฆnew sheets. I really need a fresh pair and am thinking about trying these Bed Threads Organic Cotton Percale in espresso for fall.

dreaming aboutโ€ฆthe Collegio alla Querce hotel in the Hills of Florence, Italy. Absolutely stunning. I studied the rooms and I think Iโ€™d want to stay in Suite Giardino orย Residenza la Quercia. So pretty. Plus, itโ€™s Florence!

everything in my cart (beauty)โ€ฆthe Flamingo Estatesย Jasmine & Rose Bath Set and Manuka Rich Cream. The Jasmine & Damask Rose Soap Brick makes taking your everyday shower feel like a spa day. And the Manuka Rich Cream is the most soothing body cream. Both smell wonderful! Plus, the brandโ€™s candles are some of my favorites right now!

Iโ€™ve been layering the Manuka Cream with either the Osea Undaria Alga Body Oil or the Vanilla Verve Vitamin C Body Oil from Cyklar. I love the feel โ€“ and the ingredients of both! I canโ€™t stop using either. Itโ€™s so dry where I live, these products are saving my skin.

And I just got this Oral-B Deep Clean Toothbrush. I was in need of a fresh brush and this is great!

everything in my cart (high)โ€ฆAt first I wasnโ€™t sure how I felt about these antiqued leather pumps from Prada. But after reaching out to them for more photos, I think I love them. Also, this large bag from Bottega Veneta. Simple but a great everyday bag.

A pretty lace dress from Dรดen and cute red shorts. Plus, the coziest Miu Miu Fleece Jacket. Getting excited for fall styles!ย

shoppingโ€ฆplanners because itโ€™s back-to-school season! The Golden Coil notebooks and planners are still some of my favorites. This Metallic Wildflowers Daily Life Plannerย is cute too. I go through notebooks quickly, so every few months I grab a new one from Anthropologie for recipe writing down recipes. I donโ€™t usually get such a fancy one, but this Linen Hardcover Journal is cute and currently in my cart.

This is so excitingโ€”we have a lot to share before the end of the year!

First up, by popular demand, Apple Cider Smash is coming back! This scent flew off the shelves last year (it sold out on day one). Aside from Pumpkin Smash, itโ€™s probably my personal favorite weโ€™ve ever created.

Even more exciting? Weโ€™re launching two brand-new product categoriesโ€”and for the first time, weโ€™re stepping outside of candles! These new pieces have been nearly two years in the making, and I seriously cannot wait to finally share them with you.

You can sign up here to join the waitlist and get exclusive updates on the launches.

And just a little teaserโ€ฆ weโ€™ve got one more cozy surprise coming closer to December. Stay tuned!

  1. Hey T,
Glad to hear your ankle is healing/feeling better! Sometimes rest and staying in one place is what is needed, although Iโ€™m sure youโ€™re not resting much haha busy lady.
Iโ€™m looking forward to fall dinners with pumpkin and carmel apple cobbler!
An idea โ€“ Iโ€™d love for you to find those local gems to highlight in your 9FT, like Palisade Peaches in Colorado! Or other local foods that we should all know about.
    Hope youโ€™ve had a wonderful week ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hi Courtney! Thanks so much for the well wishes, I really appreciate it! I love the idea of highlighting local foods, Iโ€™ll definitely have to work on that! Thanks again! xT

  2. I love everything that you listed as ideas for fall recipes. I am especially looking forward to one pot dinners, crock pot dinners, and protein packed dinners!

  3. Hi Tieghan. Iโ€™m a long-time follower and enjoy your Nine Favorite Things posts. Can you please explain to me how the No-Bake Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Bars was the second-most popular recipe of July, even though the rules were so poorly reviewed? It seemed like the recipe just didnโ€™t work, so itโ€™s hard to understand how it was so โ€œpopularโ€.

    1. Hey Caroline, you are only seeing what is left here on the website, many people have made and are still currently making these bars with great success and really enjoying them! In the big picture, only a handful of our community has not had success, but whom have made these are loving them!

Does that make sense? Let me know if I can help more. Have a great Thursday! xT

  4. Honestly the process of waiting days for my comments to get approved and addressed, and then having to try again because they never got published, is so frustrating. Do you have any better solutions for this than telling people to just keep trying to get their comments through?

    1. Hi Diane! I totally get how frustrating that is! Waiting days for comments to be approved and then not seeing them published can feel really discouraging. Please know weโ€™re here to help and want to make sure every question gets answered, weโ€™re doing our very best to keep up and make sure you feel heard! Iโ€™d love to answer your question, what did you ask previously? xT

  5. Thatโ€™s exciting that you decided to move forward with home renovations too! What all are you having done?

    1. It is exciting! We are making updates to the entire space! It has been a long process! I will share more when I can! Hope you are having a great week! Thank you for you kind comment! xT

    1. Hi Audra! I am so sorry I donโ€™t know the brand of that dress, it was for a candle photoshoot! ๐Ÿ™‚ xT

    2. Oh my gosh I canโ€™t believe you havenโ€™t said anything about your home being renovated!! Do you have any pics to share?!

    1. Thank you SO much Beckie! Youโ€™re so sweet! Thank you for the support! Yes, HBH quick & cozy could be the perfect cookbook for you if you like these suggestions! ๐Ÿ™‚ xT

  6. What is an every day bag? Is this something I would carry on weekly trips to Whole Foods or to my strenght training sessions at the gym? The link you shared is probably a bit too fancy for my every day lol! Thanks for clarifying, Iโ€™ve never heard this term before!

    1. Hi Joan! Beis has some super cute options, or you could always go with a cute LL Bean Boat Tote to dress up or dress down! xT

      1. Iโ€™m with Diane โ€“ every, single one of those food and drink items sound amazing! Would you consider an apple cider doughnut muffin? AC Duffin for the win!
