I’m in New York today recording a few podcasts and squeezing in some meetings along the way. I always love getting the chance to visit the city—definitely couldn’t live here, but I do enjoy my quick trips in and out. The flowers and cherry blossom trees are just starting to bloom, and it’s such a beautiful reminder that spring is here! I won’t be around to catch them at their peak, but I can already tell they’re going to be stunning. Every season in New York really does have its own magic.
I’ve got a quick trip into the city this week—and again next week—and then (fingers crossed) I’ll be heading to Florida! My plans keep shifting because scheduling has been a bit of a puzzle lately. I need to be out of my house starting May 1st as we wrap up the studio space renovations, and then it’s on to renovating my home next!
As for where I’ll be going? That’s still a bit of a mystery. I’ve got a few options, but since so much of my work revolves around cooking, wherever I land has to have a decent kitchen. Stay tuned—your guess is as good as mine right now! It’s kind of exciting, but as someone who loves a good plan and knowing what’s next, I’m definitely freaking out a little inside. But like Dory from Finding Nemo, I just keep singing in my head: ‘Just keep swimming!’ I know it’ll all work out in the end.
I’m also excited to be traveling more lately! I’m back home today, but heading out again tomorrow for another quick trip to New York. Hopefully I’ll get to meet up with my family during their month of travels, too. As for Easter—I have no idea what the plan is! It totally snuck up on me… somehow it’s just a week away!
How about you all? Are you traveling this month? Staying put? What’s something that makes you the happiest right now?
I hope you all are having a great Sunday. Spring is here, and I’m so happy it is! When I get home later this week, I’ll definitely pick up some flowers. I need the added color during a Colorado spring!
Enjoy another fun Favorites post!
shopping…the Boll & Branch spring fresh sale. My favorite 100% organic cotton sheets are all currently on sale. Ordering the Signature Vintage Washed Sheet Set in their new color, Vintage Sand.
wanting…notebooks. I go through so many notebooks. I use one for website recipes and one for a to-do list. This Hop To It Notepad with Easter bunnies is adorable. So cute and fun. I also love, and will be ordering, this Striped Signature Notebook in red. If you want something more basic, I get these Lined Journal Notebooks from Amazon sometimes.
everything in my cart (low)…found a few pieces from Mango this week! Loving this cotton parka. I’m wishing I had it with me now as it’s a rainy spring day in New York. Or I might love this long oversized cotton trench more. I adore a great trench coat. And continuing on with the cozy pieces, I think I could live in this wool blend hooded sweater and midi skirt set.
Okay, and as always, my Zara finds. First off, I think this bucket hat is cute for spring and summer, and if you’re heading somewhere tropical soon, it’s the perfect beach hat. I’d also pack these linen pants and a great wide-leg jean to wear with sandals for dinner.

watching…. I am a sucker for Father of the Bride. There’s something so special about a father/daughter bond.
loving…. The prettiest home in Cabo. Makes me want to vacation here! And I’m not a Cabo girl, but this home is so pretty. Studio McGee did such a beautiful job.
practicing…. If you feel like you need to get back on track with your routine, try these 7 things. Also, listening to .
wanting…fresh florals. And so many of them. Mother’s Day is coming up, and while I’m not a mom, I will be taking advantage of all these floral sales. Currently shopping the spring bouquets on Urban Stems. All their Mother’s Day bouquets are 20% off right now. I love this bright yellow bouquet, and you can never go wrong with a bundle of peonies.
traveling with…Contiki. Essentially, an online travel website that helps you build the trip you have planned out in your head. They do the hard work for you and provide a full itinerary. It sounds like a super helpful service if you want to plan out a great trip but need some help.
everything in my cart (beauty)…a few weeks ago I had a lymphatic drainage massage. It’s a super soft massage that helps with inflammation. I want to do a mini lymphatic drainage massage at home. I need to order the Sculpting Body Stone from Tata Harper.
Blush can be so pretty – sometimes all you need is a need is a little pop of color. I love the Dew Blush Liquid Cream Blush from Saie, the Talc-Free Dimensional + Brightening Blush from Kosas. Now I am curious to try the Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo from Patrick Ta after literally studying this guide.
And Asher and I love the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, apparently so does .
shopping…new arrivals on Zara Home.
loving…Home Chef of course! And this is why, .
loving…lemon sweets! Made a lemony dessert last week and now I want to make more!
ordering…large handknotted packable tote bag. On ale through today! The perfect warm weather bag!
shopping…Mother’s Day gifts. Hoping to spend Mother’s Day with my mom and searching for the perfect gift. A few I found this week!

Everyone I’ve turned onto Éterne has never once complained. I’m telling you, these pieces are worth the price. The materials are baby soft, and they have the best basics. I adore them! Chloe, the founder, is generously offering you all 15% off through Easter Sunday—just because! Enjoy!
use the code HBH15 through Easter Sunday
Straight Leg Sweatpant—I live in these while traveling. The black is chic, and the pants are super comfy for long, back-to-back travel days.

PLEASE do a “Day In My Life” from waking up to going to bed! Would love to see your daily routine – morning hike/workout, breakfast, skincare, in the kitchen, etc.
I think you’d crush this and your audience would love a glimpse into your life outside of your studio/NYC!
Thanks so much for sharing this suggestion! I will definitely try to add this to my list:)
Next time you’re getting your hair/makeup done, can you please record! Would love to see what the HMUA use 🙂
Yes, I will try to do this!!
I was just curious why you don’t use soap to wash your dishes? How do you get them clean?
Hi Colt,
I don’t like to use soap because of all the harsh chemicals. If needed I’ll use branch basics dish soap. I only do this when worried about bacteria, but mostly I just rinse with hot water!
I saw that you answered a question recently on Instagram saying that you only clean your pans/dishes with water & a scrubbing sponge. I was just curious why you don’t use soap, and how you prevent bacteria, etc if you’re only rinsing things with hot water?
Hi Julia! Yes that’s true!! I don’t like to use soap because of all the harsh chemicals. If needed I’ll use branch basics dish soap. I only do this when worried about bacteria, but mostly I just rinse with hot water!
I appreciate the thumbnail sized recipe pics – so much easier to see them all w/o ads getting in the way. Thanks 🙂
Thanks for sharing your feedback, Amy! Hope you are having a great Sunday!
All the renovation stuff sounds so exciting! Have you considered just taking a longer break while you have to be out of your kitchen? You’ve created so many recipes that we’ll have plenty to cook from in the meantime! I see lots of creators taking a pause from putting out content, your followers will still be here when you return! You’ll be surprised you rejuvenated you feel after some time on the beach with your family!
Thanks so much, Bethany! Yes, it is all super exciting. Unfortunately, it’s just going to be too much time for me to be fully out of the kitchen. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that:) Thanks for the suggestion! Have a nice Sunday! xx
Hi Tieghan, Happy Spring!
The quality and color tones of your food photographs have changed a lot since the time I first started following you a few years ago. Do you use an orange filter to mimic sunlight? Or did you change photographers?
Hi Barbara,
Thanks for sharing your feedback. I have been shooting from my house rather than my studio and just trying new things:) Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard fam, and HBH team! What a wonderful NFT this week. That home in Cabo absolutely knocked me out! So beautiful. I’m so excited for you and all your upcoming projects! I know it must be exciting yet overwhelming (and maybe a little bit scary), but your Dory motto is perfect — just keep swimming. It will all fall into place before you know it. I hope you get to enjoy a trip to Florida. You’ve earned it! Have a wonderful week!
Happy Sunday, Jen! Right?! Isn’t it gorgeous? So glad you are as excited as I am for all the new projects, can’t wait to share more:) Thanks for your kind message! xx
So glad you linked to an article about pelvic floor and pelvic health. As a physical therapist, this is such an under discussed topic but so very important and so much we as PTs can offer not only women but men also. Thanks for bringing this topic to life, T! And have a great week!
Thanks so much for reading today, Courtney! Of course, happy to share the link, I found it super interesting and definitely something I don’t know enough about. Hope you are having a nice Sunday! xx
Happy Sunday, Tieghan! I’m with you on the lemony sweets now that it’s spring. I baked a lemon velvet cake a couple of weeks ago and the taste just ushered spring right on in for me. Looking forward to baking your Swirled Blueberry Lemon Thyme cake soon! (In a few days we’re headed to Miami, too, just to getaway for a week and I’m SO excited!)
Hey Kerita,
Thanks for reading today! Yes, who doesn’t love a lemony dessert in the springtime?! The cake you made sounds delicious. Let me know how the blueberry lemon thyme cake turns out for you. Have the best time in Miami!!
My Sunday morning ritual is to grab a cup of coffee and read your Sunday post. I love it! So many great ideas. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks a lot, Julie! I truly appreciate you taking the time to read each week! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! xx
I saw you asking readers readers not to get mad at you for revisiting the corner store, lol! HBH community: there’s no shame in going back to the same restaurants! I know my 15 year old granddaughter prefers the same couple of places. She’s a picky eater and is mostly comfortable with pasta, burgers and fries too! I think it just takes time to get more adventurous with cuisine preferences, even as a food blogger! Keep doing you Tieghen, we love your bravery! Xoxo
Hi Marianne,
Thanks for your kind message and reading today! It’s always nice going back to a restaurant when you know the food is going to be amazing! Thanks for catching up today! xx
Why do you have be out of your home if it’s the studio being put back together, not your house? Best of luck!
Thanks, Morgan!! My house is also being renovated, so I will need to move my things out of there while that happens. Have a great Sunday!
I’m just curious 🙂 – why do you fly home for a day, to turn around and fly right back out to NY? Why not just stay in NY the extra day?
Hi Molly,
It really just depends on the circumstances, I’m typically home for more than just a day:) I need time to create content, so it’s important for me to be at home when needed. I hope this makes sense:)
Nice job this week!!!! Sometimes I breeze through the Sunday posts in 20 minutes-not this one! Loved almost everything, thanks. Safe travels & stay healthy (working on second upper respiratory infection after long airport wait times. Wear a mask…)
Thanks a lot for taking the time to read today, Dale! Glad you enjoyed the post:) Hope you are enjoying your Sunday morning! xx
