Today is the day! I am so excited for tonight’s event with Benny! You know those people who just instantly put you in a good mood, make you smile, and are always fun to be with? That is Benny!
His energy is infectious, and his kindness is under-shared. Benny has flown under the radar for so long, so I’m excited that so many people are coming to find out just how kind-hearted he is.
He really is one of the sweetest, most gracious, and generous people I know. I’m so grateful for his friendship! And I can’t wait for tonight! It’s going to be a blast!! I will share photos and fun details of the event next week. Stay tuned for more!
My dad drove me to the airport on Thursday, and as I stood in the airport watching two little girls happily eat their “Happy Meals” with their dad, my mind drifted back to my talks with my dad. I’m so grateful for our relationship and how far we’ve come from when I was little to now. I’m such a dad’s girl, and I don’t know what I’d do without both my dad and my mom. My parents are so special. Dad’s always there for me, providing therapy, guidance, and constant hugs when I need them most. He drops me at the airport every time I travel, and I think I’ll remember those hugs for life. There is something so special about father-daughter relationships.
I’m excited about what’s coming up! My family will be traveling a lot this spring. I’ll be joining them for a few days in April, and then I’m set to start working on a couple of new projects, both in and outside of the kitchen!
We’ll soon be finishing up the studio space. I’ll be sharing more details about it soon, starting with some BEFORE photos! The space should be done in May, but the furniture won’t arrive until late October, so I’ll share the AFTER photos then. I’ve been dragging my feet and procrastinating those posts, but it’s time to start sharing more this spring/summer!
Work is going to require even more trips into New York, but traveling to somewhere tropical is on my radar right now! Come mid-April, I’ll be there; I can’t wait!! Are you traveling this spring? Where are you heading?
That’s pretty much all I have for you today. It’s crazy that spring is here and soon it will be summer!
I shared our most popular spring recipes this week if you’re looking for inspiration on what to make. So many yummy recipes! I love the change of seasons!
Lastly, thank you so much for your support now and over the years. Last week I shared that we’ll be cutting out one or two posts each month, which is a big change for us. You were all so kind, supportive, and encouraging. It amazes me every day the loyal family we’ve built!
Enjoy another week’s favorites!

everything in my cart (low)…a few Zara pieces to start! This suede jacket is truly gorgeous! I love that Zara offers this style. It makes buying suede accessible. A pretty satin dress. I would style this under that jacket for a Spring weekend look. Lastly, if you love the denim-on-denim look, try this denim vest and jeans.
From H&M, really cute hoop earrings and faux leather pencil skirt. I would wear these together!
Last piece, a great barrel sleeve denim jacket (on sale!) from Abercrombie.

And scent-wise, my current favorite is from Phlur. It’s their Vanilla Skin Eau de Parfum (also on sale!).

A Podcast Listen: A couple of weeks ago, I recorded such a fun podcast on Taste of Taylor, and it came out this week. We had such a fun conversation!
Listen here:
A fun question: What made you laugh and smile this week?
It takes A LOT to really make me laugh, but Asher getting pooped on by our new baby goats made me both laugh and smile this week!
What made YOU laugh and/or smile this week?

Favorites that are currently trending on Pinterest:

A random quote: above is the most popular quote I’ve pinned.
Our most popular chicken recipe: Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken.
A random recipe: cajun shrimp tacos I shared the first year of HBH. Look how old the photo is!
I get a lot of product requests from you all and shared a few on Instagram earlier this week. I thought I would share my answers here, too! If you have product questions, I’m always happy to share what I love!!
The best non-toxic toilet paper?
I’ve been using and really like the Reel Premium Toilet Paper.
What is your fav lip moisturizer?
The Augustinus Bader The Lip Balm is great!
Vitamin C oil for skincare?
I love IS Clinical Pro Heal Serum.
What are your hair extension recommendations?
It is funny, I keep getting this question, which I guess is a compliment? I don’t have extensions and I never have. I’ve never dyed my hair or done anything other than trim it, and I’ve never put in extensions. If I had recommendations, I would share them!!! But I do really, really need a haircut. I think it’s been over a year.
What do you use for your thinning hair? Having the same problem.
And then I get this question…
My cousin has been using and loving Nutrafol, and I know so many people who also adore the product. Additionally, I recommend scalp massage and brushing your hair daily. Both are proven to improve hair growth and prevent hair loss.
Best dry brush?
I love the Goop dry brush, and I’ve been wanting to try the Higher Dose Copper Brush!
Fav kitchen utensils to use on stainless steel? Wooden? Stainless? I don’t like silicone.
I like wooden. The Caraway Home set is great!!
Laundry detergent preferences?
Haven’t found a good one. Clean laundry recommendations?
My mom likes Zum Indigo Wild Clean Laundry Soap; she has the two-pack on subscribe and save and says it smells amazing!
Good shampoo and conditioners?
I am still using and love the Oribe hair alchemy collection.
And body soaps?
The Salt and Stone body wash is currently in my shower
Best thing for dry face?
I’m currently trying to solve my dry skin issues and using only CeraVe moisturizing cream. Honestly, it’s the only cream that’s really helped. I also highly recommend Touch Of Tallow beef tallow!
Do you use Dr. Dennis Gross skin products?
The peel pads—yes, they’re amazing! I was just talking about how I want to try the new Dr. Dennis Gross eye cream too.
How about a sauté pan?
The Caraway Home cookware set/pans are great if I’m not using cast iron (love this new pink color – and it’s on sale!)

Really enjoyed today’s post!
Thanks so much for reading today, Eva!
It’s so sweet that you and your dad have such a close relationship and you can confide in him. But, a therapist who is not family and can help you look at things with a fresh set of eyes could be so helpful to you. It helps to have an outside perspective. Mental health is just as important as physical health, take it seriously!
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback, Molly:) My dad is not actually a therapist, just someone who I really love talking to and gives great advice and feedback. Thanks for reading today! xx
Your hair always looks so much shinier, longer and thicker when you’re in NYC for events and meetings. Could it maybe be that the water is different than in Colorado?
Hey Shelly,
I’m sure it could possibly be the water, but also I’m actually taking the time to style it or have it done:) When I’m working and cooking at home, I don’t get “done up” everyday. Thanks for asking! xx
Why do you continue to ask people if you should cut your hair or not? It seems like a common theme with you – if you want to cut it, just cut it girl!! 🙂 you do YOU!!
Thanks for the reminder, Trish!!
Please don’t promote the “dirty dozen” narrative – it unnecessarily causes fear around eating safe fruits and vegetables (something most people don’t eat enough in their diets). see the following article for another perspective. https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2023/03/20/scientists-rebuke-environmental-working-groups-dirty-dozen-list-of-pesticide-soaked-vegetables-and-fruits/
Hey There! I will for sure look into this. Thanks for the info! Have the best week ahead!
“also watching…Millie Bobby Brown Shares Her Favorite Paella Recipe—and Details About Her Wedding to Jake Bongiovi. Now I feel like I should make Paella…I’ve never tried it!”
Maybe this is a silly question but did you not try this paella recipe on your website? Because it looks delicious! https://fett-weg.today/skillet-grilled-seafood-and-chorizo-paella/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E
Hey! I forgot all about that recipe to be honest! I need to make it again clearly! Hope you have had a wonderful Sunday! Thank you for reading!
Your dad is a therapist? I didn’t know this! Would love to know more about his career path if you’re comfortable sharing. Does it ever feel weird having a parent as your therapist? I’ve always found that talking to a mental health professional outside of my family and friends to be incredibly helpful. Regardless, great to know that you’re taking care of your mental health. Xoxo
Hi Maria,
Thanks for reading today! No, my dad is not a therapist, but he spends a lot of time talking through things with me, which feels like therapy:) Hope you are having a great Sunday! xT
Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard fam, and HBH team! I loved the NFT this week. So much great content! I’m so looking forward to HBH continuing to grow and evolve beyond just recipes. I hope your family loves their travel and that you have a wonderful time with Benny! Have a fantastic week!
Hi Jen,
Happy Sunday!! Thanks so much for your kind message as always:) Thanks for reading today and your well wishes. Have a great week ahead! xxT
Can’t wait to see the reno reveal! You must be so excited!
On a podcast, you said reading isn’t your thing. Not sure what you meant by that. You don’t like reading but have cookbooks, verbose recipe posts, and NFT is always many paragraphs long and full of links to articles and books. Why do all this if you’re not into reading?
Hey Laurel! I have trouble reading for sure. I am a very slow reader, so it’s not my favorite thing. However I LOVE to share the content that I do read and does inspire me! And I guess I don’t mind writing about it either because I put together these post and write them all! They always turn out so long. I love everything I share! Sorry If I confused you! Hope you had a wonderful Sunday! Have the Best week!
As a long time New Yorker, we don’t always wear all black!! 🙂 would love to see you in some color!
Thanks so much for your suggestion, Jennifer! Have a nice Sunday! xx
I’m glad you’re finding things that are working for your skin! I am curious though, because you are always showing us lotions, creams etc you’re using on your face, including the box you got last week where you said you loved the packaging. Are you still using those?
Hey Susie,
Thanks so much for reading today!! It really just depends on the day:) But anything that I share with you all are products that I truly do love! Happy Sunday! xx
Yes! Would love your take on a recipe for Paella! And BTW: my favorite all-time photo is the Strawberry Chamomile Naked Cake. So beautiful and springtime! Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much, Chrissie! Love that you enjoy the photo of the strawberry naked cake, it’s an oldie but a goodie! Hope you are having a great Sunday! xx
I’m confused, How have you never tried paella?! You have a recipe for it on this blog.
Hey! I forgot all about that recipe to be honest! I need to make it again clearly! Hope you have had a wonderful Sunday! Thank you for reading!
I’m very familiar with Benny – I feel like he’s pretty well known & not under the radar. Interesting take!
Well that is great to know!! Thanks so much for reading today, Sarah!!
I would say his engagement to Selena Gomez has exponentially increased his popularity/recognition. Interesting you wouldn’t see that!
A lot of people don’t know who he is, and don’t particularly follow pop culture. I had no idea who he was until he started doing collabs with HBH, and the only thing I know about Selena Gomez is that my friend’s daughter wanted a haircut like hers about 20 years ago when they were both kids.
Dry face recommendations: Skinceuticals! Their every day moisturizer is my go to. It’s a little pricey but it lasts a long time-a little goes a long way-& more importantly, it doesn’t have an unpleasant odor AND it works!
My skin has been pretty dry for 30+ years (even before menopause) but I love this little glass tub. Their micro scrub is also well worth the price. My skin is super sensitive so 1-2 times a week is it for me but it gives me that young “glow”.
Try them & let us know how you like them. Have a wonderful week!
Hi Dale,
Thanks for reading today and sharing your skincare recommendation! I will definitely have to look into this one. Have a wonderful Sunday! xx
