Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be back here this week. I’m feeling extra grateful for the community we have here, the love I see daily for the recipes, and even these Sunday Favorite’s posts!

I just got back from dinner in NYC. We went to Chez Margaux and had the nicest time! While at dinner, I was telling a good friend about some things I want to be leaning into and focusing on. He reminded me that while it’s great to have new ideas, wants, and desires, I should reflect on and appreciate what we’ve already built and not play it down. He reminded me that it’s OK to lean back into the cooking. I don’t always have to feel like I need to be looking for new ways to grow!

It was a nice reminder that what we’ve already built is pretty amazing. A lot of times, I can go, go, go. Finishing up one thing, then immediately wanting to jump right on to the next. But I need to take more time and appreciate what we have, which is this HUGE, wonderful community! It’s so special.

One thing I might want to explore leaning into more is sharing more behind-the-scenes video content with you all. When I’m home, the cooking is great, but when I travel, I’ve noticed many requests for day-in-the-life style videos, so that could be really fun! It is very out of my comfort zone and something I need to work really hard at making myself do, but I kind of love the idea!

Anyway, just some random thoughts for a little late-night writing. It’s nice to simply chit-chat with you all!

I’m here in New York one more night before I hop over to Austin for Create & Cultivate. I’m so excited and honored to be speaking on Sunday; I can’t wait! I have a couple of dinners planned in Austin too, so that will be nice!

I’ll be spending one more day in New York, working on a new project that feels so exciting, plus another project that’s a long time out but that I truly know you’ll love!! This project DOES have to do with food. But what we worked on today is totally different and will launch this fall! WhahOOO!!!

Below, I’m sharing more behind-the-scenes photos of the studio renovation. It’s really coming along! Other than that, just another fun Sunday Favorites post packed with lots of spring finds! Are you excited for spring? It’s coming up fast! And yesterday marked the end of daylight savings – I’m here for the longer days and more sunshine! It is time!

Have the best Sunday everyone!

1. Things I’m Loving, Wanting + Excited to Try.

question…what’s your coffee order/morning drink? I do an Americano with too many extra shots of espresso (I’m also loving Kion coffee beans). My dad does the same. My mom has hot cacao every morning with raw goat milk, cacao, and honey. She’s always drank hot cacao, never coffee. So what is your order?

loving…The Latest Alaïa Collection. Can’t wait for the fall 2025 collection to hit stores. Alaia pieces are some of my favorites this season.

everything in my cart (low)…these wide-leg sweatpants are perfect for work-from-home days and or hectic travel days.

from Zara, a staple leather maxi shopper bag and cute bustier top.

ordering…Women’s Cashmere Sock Shoe. Well, thinking about it. These look so cozy that it might be worth the price!

staple sweater…the Jadey Cashmere Oversized V-neck Sweater.

watching…Running Point, now available on Netflix. The show is packed with twists, turns, romance, and plenty of family drama. Kate Hudson looks super cute in the trailer, and people are loving the series!

taking notes…Low-Effort Style Hacks to Look Put-Together on Our Laziest Days.

finds for the home…the icon juice glass from Anthro in shamrock is cute for St.Patricks Day. I love this collection, so many fun icons. Which one is your favorite? I love the bows, the chili peppers (for a margarita), and the horseshoe is fun too.

also, for the home…the scalloped edge plates I use a lot are now on Etsy.  You can also shop the entire collection here. These checkered mugs are fun. And if you need a new duvet cover, this cotton cover is highly recommended.

cooking…tortilla soup because even though we are being teased with spring weather at times, there are days like today when it’s 32 degrees and CHILLY.

my spring break dream…Easter in Palm Beach with lots of sunshine, palm trees, and a glazed ham for Easter dinner. I need to try something new.

everything in my cart (beauty)… I mentioned this splurge last week. Dr. Diamond’s Metacine InstaFacial Collection is becoming a new favorite of mine. I’ve been using the Instafacial Collection Infusion as the final step of skincare over my moisturizer and have noticed a brightening in my skin when I wake up. This is a pricey product, so I will keep updating you the longer I use it! I do want to pick up the full collection to try as well!

for nails, these spring colors are pretty. I just did this milky lavender and love it.

and on my lips, I’ve been using the LUST: Gloss from PAT McGRATH LABS. This comes in so many pretty shades.

watching…Kendall Jenner Gets Ready for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

fun reading…Saddle Up: 17 Steamy Cowboy Romances You Won’t Be Able To Put Down. You guys loved last week’s hockey romances, so this week, it’s cowboys!

everything in my cart (high)…this beautiful Crochet Wool & Cashmere Zip Cardigan. I just found it for 30% off on Amazon!

cute gifting…Ocana Bread Basket Set. Bake up fresh beer bread, homemade naan, my favorite homemade tortillas, or honey butter brioche rolls, then fill the basket and send them off to friends. This is a cute Easter idea too!

favorite Oscars looks… from the Oscars: I loved love Cynthia Erivo in a Custom Louis Vuitton dress and Roberto Coin jewelry. Monica Barbaro looked really pretty in a Custom Christian Dior dress. And then, Ariana Grande was so cute as always with her “Tribute to Oz” looks.

and from the after parties, I liked Zoë Kravitz in Saint Laurent dress and shoes. Also loved Lisa’s look. Both Asher and I thought Kaia Gerber looked so pretty in her Valentino S/S 97 dress. Who did you like?

5. A new Sunday night routine.

You have to read this post: My Marriage is Stronger Than Ever Thanks to This Sunday Night Routine. This sounds like an amazing idea. Yes, this article is about strengthening your marriage, but as someone who is part owner of a business, I love this idea for business partners to help their business and partnership thrive even more.

I know that if I implemented this strategy with my mom, we’d work together so much more seamlessly. I’m going to figure out a way to do this that will work best for us.

6. Inspiring Me.

(what I want to be doing. I always keep the idea the in the back of my head)

  1. I don’t normally comment, but I want to applaud you for taking the high road against the snarkers. I see that you’ve been posting a lot of those comments in a “kill them with kindness” way, which is braver than I could be. I hope you continue to post what you enjoy most— in bathrooms, with fries, however you like. There’s an audience for all sorts of content. Your oversized outfits might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if it’s yours— that’s all that matters. Smile big!

    1. Thanks for your kind message, Chelsea:) I appreciate you being here and following along! Hope you are having a great start to your week! xxT

  2. Would love to see more content of Colorado, not dimly lit restaurants or pics of fries! Also, would you please consider filming other places instead of the bathroom or standing in front of a mirror?

    1. Hi Rachel,
Thanks for reading and sharing this feedback with me, will definitely try to add more Colorado content:) Have a nice week! xx

  3. I’d love to see more content in your daily life at home and not traveling! Maybe what you eat in a day!

  4. Would love to see a recipe with fresh green beans as an Easter side. I’m sure you’d do something creative..we love anything we’ve tried from your recipes!

  5. Hi Tieghan! I might’ve missed it but I am really interested in hearing what hobby or class you decide to do with your little sister. My youngest sister is 8 years younger than me and I’m always trying to come up with new things for us to try. Also totally agree with everyone saying to share more content of your everyday life at home! I love seeing what amazing cooks like you make for their real friends / family meals and get inspiration on how to create menus and set up an environment for hosting.
    Have a great Sunday!!

    1. Hey France!! Asher has yet to pick our hobby! I am voting for horseback riding, Pilates, or a ceramic class! These are my personal favorite hobbies!! I hope this helps you!! Have a great week!!

  6. Love seeing all the fashun pics! I’ve noticed that your fits are a bit different lately. Did you get a new stylist, or are you styling yourself now? I remember that you used to work with that sweet young gal, Caitlyn. Anyway, more fashun please.

    1. Hey Abbie,
Thanks so much for reading:) Yes, I still work with Caitlyn, just trying some different styles! Glad you enjoy the fashion content! Have a great Monday! xx

  7. At the risk of sounding like your mother… I’m so proud of you! I’ve never commented before, but today, having cooked so many of your wonderful recipes and watching you grow through your website and all the wonderful experiences you’re having makes me so happy for you. Thanks for bringing joy and honesty to all who are lucky enough to follow you!

    1. Aww, thank you so much, Johanna:) I appreciate you taking the time to comment and following along! So glad you have been enjoying everything! Have the best week! xxT

  8. I can’t seem to get my baked goods to have that molten creamy center but crispy edges like yours always do. Am I missing an altitude adjustment? I’m so excited to try your newest brownie recipe but also a little nervous it won’t look as yummy as yours!

    1. Hey there,
I would say it really depends which recipe you are struggling to make:) If you can let me know the recipe you need help with, I would be happy to help. For the brownies, try following just as written and let me know how they turn out! xx

  9. I second the request for more Colorado content! That’s one of the things that’s so cool – your location! About the reno, you could share similar type content as you did on the blog with the first renovations several years ago. Also more videos of the progress, before and after pics, share what your inspiration was/plans for the space. Also captions underneath the photos would be helpful. Hard to know what I’m looking at!

    1. Hi Alex,
Thanks for reading today and sharing these suggestions! I will definitely try to sprinkle in more Colorado content as well as renovations updates! Hope you are having a great weekend! xx

  10. Show me ALL the content, food, fashion, travel, I enjoy it all. I look forward to the Sunday Favorite Things and I am so excited to see the renovation!

    1. Thanks so much, Yolanda:) I appreciate you sharing your feedback and taking the time to comment today! Have the best Sunday! xxT

  11. It’s fun you’re going to Austin! Will you be on a panel like you have done before? Or are you speaking solo? What are you going to talk about? Who are you hoping to meet there?
What restaurants do you recommend or will you be trying in Austin? Would love to hear your rec on where I can get a good burger!
For the reno, I know you don’t really scroll other bloggers, but Pinch of Yum did a reno of a cabin a few years ago. Maybe you could get some ideas from that. Or, you could also bring back some of your old pictures from the previous times, to do a before & after! That would be fun!
Sorry for all the questions, I hope my comment is not confusing!
    Have a great Sunday!

    1. Hey Joy!! Yes, I spoke on a panel! It was a blast! We talked about trends in the creator space and how to build a lasting brand with longevity.

For eating, try Sammie’s!! It’s incredibly delicious Italian food!

Thank you for these ideas!! They are so great!

      Have the best week!!

  12. Would love to see less of “the city” and more of behind the scenes of you cooking, seeing more of your development & testing of recipes, etc. I’m much more interested in that than a pic of the corner store & “get the fries!” Thanks for taking my comment into consideration!

    1. Hey Jen! Thanks so much for your feedback and taking the time to comment:) Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! xx

  13. I didn’t realize your studio is so big! I love it. You must host amazing dinners for friends and family in there

  14. Hello! I love all your content but I think it would fun if you pepper in a little fashion content as well and showcase some of your outfits and how you selected them. You have such a great styling sense and I love your outfits when you are traveling! It might offend some people but I think it would be fun to see. 🙂

    1. Hey Karen,
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback, I really appreciate it! I love fashion, so I do think it is something I will continue to share:) Hope you are having a great Sunday! xxT
