Nine Favorite Things | halfbakedharvest.com

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be back here this week. I’m feeling extra grateful for the community we have here, the love I see daily for the recipes, and even these Sunday Favorite’s posts!

I just got back from dinner in NYC. We went to Chez Margaux and had the nicest time! While at dinner, I was telling a good friend about some things I want to be leaning into and focusing on. He reminded me that while it’s great to have new ideas, wants, and desires, I should reflect on and appreciate what we’ve already built and not play it down. He reminded me that it’s OK to lean back into the cooking. I don’t always have to feel like I need to be looking for new ways to grow!

It was a nice reminder that what we’ve already built is pretty amazing. A lot of times, I can go, go, go. Finishing up one thing, then immediately wanting to jump right on to the next. But I need to take more time and appreciate what we have, which is this HUGE, wonderful community! It’s so special.

One thing I might want to explore leaning into more is sharing more behind-the-scenes video content with you all. When I’m home, the cooking is great, but when I travel, I’ve noticed many requests for day-in-the-life style videos, so that could be really fun! It is very out of my comfort zone and something I need to work really hard at making myself do, but I kind of love the idea!

Anyway, just some random thoughts for a little late-night writing. It’s nice to simply chit-chat with you all!

I’m here in New York one more night before I hop over to Austin for Create & Cultivate. I’m so excited and honored to be speaking on Sunday; I can’t wait! I have a couple of dinners planned in Austin too, so that will be nice!

I’ll be spending one more day in New York, working on a new project that feels so exciting, plus another project that’s a long time out but that I truly know you’ll love!! This project DOES have to do with food. But what we worked on today is totally different and will launch this fall! WhahOOO!!!

Below, I’m sharing more behind-the-scenes photos of the studio renovation. It’s really coming along! Other than that, just another fun Sunday Favorites post packed with lots of spring finds! Are you excited for spring? It’s coming up fast! And yesterday marked the end of daylight savings – I’m here for the longer days and more sunshine! It is time!

Have the best Sunday everyone!

1. Things I’m Loving, Wanting + Excited to Try.

question…what’s your coffee order/morning drink? I do an Americano with too many extra shots of espresso (I’m also loving Kion coffee beans). My dad does the same. My mom has hot cacao every morning with raw goat milk, cacao, and honey. She’s always drank hot cacao, never coffee. So what is your order?

loving…The Latest Alaïa Collection. Can’t wait for the fall 2025 collection to hit stores. Alaia pieces are some of my favorites this season.

everything in my cart (low)…these wide-leg sweatpants are perfect for work-from-home days and or hectic travel days.

from Zara, a staple leather maxi shopper bag and cute bustier top.

ordering…Women’s Cashmere Sock Shoe. Well, thinking about it. These look so cozy that it might be worth the price!

staple sweater…the Jadey Cashmere Oversized V-neck Sweater.

watching…Running Point, now available on Netflix. The show is packed with twists, turns, romance, and plenty of family drama. Kate Hudson looks super cute in the trailer, and people are loving the series!

taking notes…Low-Effort Style Hacks to Look Put-Together on Our Laziest Days.

finds for the home…the icon juice glass from Anthro in shamrock is cute for St.Patricks Day. I love this collection, so many fun icons. Which one is your favorite? I love the bows, the chili peppers (for a margarita), and the horseshoe is fun too.

also, for the home…the scalloped edge plates I use a lot are now on Etsy.  You can also shop the entire collection here. These checkered mugs are fun. And if you need a new duvet cover, this cotton cover is highly recommended.

cooking…tortilla soup because even though we are being teased with spring weather at times, there are days like today when it’s 32 degrees and CHILLY.

my spring break dream…Easter in Palm Beach with lots of sunshine, palm trees, and a glazed ham for Easter dinner. I need to try something new.

everything in my cart (beauty)… I mentioned this splurge last week. Dr. Diamond’s Metacine InstaFacial Collection is becoming a new favorite of mine. I’ve been using the Instafacial Collection Infusion as the final step of skincare over my moisturizer and have noticed a brightening in my skin when I wake up. This is a pricey product, so I will keep updating you the longer I use it! I do want to pick up the full collection to try as well!

for nails, these spring colors are pretty. I just did this milky lavender and love it.

and on my lips, I’ve been using the LUST: Gloss from PAT McGRATH LABS. This comes in so many pretty shades.

watching…Kendall Jenner Gets Ready for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

fun reading…Saddle Up: 17 Steamy Cowboy Romances You Won’t Be Able To Put Down. You guys loved last week’s hockey romances, so this week, it’s cowboys!

everything in my cart (high)…this beautiful Crochet Wool & Cashmere Zip Cardigan. I just found it for 30% off on Amazon!

cute gifting…Ocana Bread Basket Set. Bake up fresh beer bread, homemade naan, my favorite homemade tortillas, or honey butter brioche rolls, then fill the basket and send them off to friends. This is a cute Easter idea too!

favorite Oscars looks… from the Oscars: I loved love Cynthia Erivo in a Custom Louis Vuitton dress and Roberto Coin jewelry. Monica Barbaro looked really pretty in a Custom Christian Dior dress. And then, Ariana Grande was so cute as always with her “Tribute to Oz” looks.

and from the after parties, I liked Zoë Kravitz in Saint Laurent dress and shoes. Also loved Lisa’s look. Both Asher and I thought Kaia Gerber looked so pretty in her Valentino S/S 97 dress. Who did you like?

5. A new Sunday night routine.

You have to read this post: My Marriage is Stronger Than Ever Thanks to This Sunday Night Routine. This sounds like an amazing idea. Yes, this article is about strengthening your marriage, but as someone who is part owner of a business, I love this idea for business partners to help their business and partnership thrive even more.

I know that if I implemented this strategy with my mom, we’d work together so much more seamlessly. I’m going to figure out a way to do this that will work best for us.

6. Inspiring Me.

(what I want to be doing. I always keep the idea the in the back of my head)

  1. The Blueberry Yogurt Coffee Cake Muffins are so good. I made them for brunch this morning and my family loved them!

  2. Hi Tieghan! I used to love reading your newsletter on Sunday but it seems like it’s a lot of recommendations for things you’ve never tried. For example- “watching…Running Point, now available on Netflix. The show is packed with twists, turns, romance, and plenty of family drama. Kate Hudson looks super cute in the trailer, and people are loving the series!”

So it sounds like you aren’t watching it but only have seen the trailer and that other people like it? The reason people are asking for behind-the-scenes videos is because you don’t actually share very much about what you do or what you like to do, it’s always about other people in your life. I’d LOVE to hear more about YOU! In honor of international women’s day, lean into what your true self and all the things that YOU love!

    1. Hey Mary!! Thank you so much for this kind feedback! I actually have watched the first 3 episodes and I do really love the show thus far! It’s a nice wind down show and really pretty cute!!

I will try harder to share more about me! I guess I am just very very simple because I feel like you all know all there is to know! Hahah! But I will keep sharing!

      Have a great week!

  3. Good morning! Enjoying my birthday with a good cup of pour over coffee, snuggles with my dog, and Nine Favorite Things. What could be better than that! Love seeing the kitchen renovation. Makes me want even more to get started on mine.
Thank you for keeping us updated and falling back into food is never a bad thing. It brings comfort and people together and that is always a great thing.
    Happy Sunny Sunday from Wisconsin.

    1. Hey Michelle,
Happy Birthday!! Sounds like quite the relaxing morning, good for you! Glad you enjoyed reading the post today:) I hope you have a wonderful day! xT

  4. Love that you’re branching out and trying new things like more videos in the your foquets room telling us what you’re up to that day. Would you ever consider filming outside of the bathroom or hotel room? I’d really love to see this in Colorado even more! So many nyc influencers already out there, your life in Colorado is what sets you apart. NYC is exciting for sure, but dinner at the corner store isn’t nearly as interesting as life in the gorgeous mountains surrounded by a big loving family!

    1. Hey Samantha,
Thanks for reading today and sharing these suggestions! I will definitely try to share more Colorado life:) I appreciate your feedback! Have a great Sunday! xxT

  5. I drink my coffee black!

I saw last week on your Instagram story that you had Cerave – has that been working for all your skin issues? I’ve heard a lot of great things about it but I’ve never tried it myself. I’m glad you aren’t allergic to chamomile like you originally thought! ❤️

    1. Hey Stepnen!! Right now I am using Cerave as the top moisturizer on my face. It’s been soothing and working well!

Thank you so much!! Hope you have a great week!

  6. 1. Starbucks tall black. I don’t brew at home. My daily Starbucks is my indulgence. I drink it while I walk.
    2. I would love to see you lean back into cooking and food.
    3. Marriage meeting article might be the best thing you have ever shared.
    4. I would love more of a description of the renovation photos.

    1. Hi Cari,
Thanks so much for reading today and sharing your coffee order as well as your feedback on the cooking end:) Glad you enjoyed the marriage meeting article. I will definitely share more about the renovations as things start coming along, this is just the beginning:) Have the best Sunday! xx

  7. Would really like to see healthier recipes . Everything you post looks the same from week to week – seems like you are posting the same recipes over and over.

    1. Hi Myles,
Thanks for sharing this feedback with me, will definitely take this into consideration:) Have a great Sunday!! x

  8. Would love to see some pics & video intros that aren’t in the bathroom! Especially when talking about recipes! ❤️

  9. LOVE seeing pics of the reno!!! The pantry floor looks so fun, and the Stoffer Home cabinets are perfection. Can’t wait to see more! My dream would be for you to film a show in that new space…just sayin’. 😏

    1. Thanks so much, Kris! Isn’t the pantry floor amazing?! That would be a fun idea:) Thanks for the suggestion and reading today! Happy Sunday! xxT

  10. Good morning from NH! Your studio looks amazing, I love how bright it will be!
What a great space it will be to do some creating! Enjoy!
    Lori

    1. Hey Lori,
Happy Sunday! Thanks for reading:) Yes, I am so excited for the studio and can’t wait to share the finished product with everyone! Hope you are having a great morning! xxT

  11. I would love to see more day in the life of you cooking as opposed to the selfies & restaurant pics, that’s why I follow you!

    1. Thanks a lot Jan:) Love to hear that you would enjoy this content, I appreciate your feedback! Happy Sunday! xx

  12. Ooh I would LOVE more behind the scenes content. Some of my fave people to follow share day in the life on IG stories – I think your days at home would actually be more interesting. Remember what’s boring to you is still very new and different for your community! You could post roughly one pic/video per hour.

    1. Hey Elizabeth,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading today! Thanks for your feedback on sharing more behind the scenes content, good to know you would enjoy it:) Have the best day! xxT

  13. Tieghan,
I have a suggestion for you with the studio kitchen sink. I saw that another chef had installed a hospital style sink in his kitchen. This type of sink has foot pedals for the hot and cold water so when your hands are gooey you don’t have to grab the handles to turn on the water to scrub up. Thanks for the update on the studio.

    1. Hi Jim,
Thanks for reading today and sharing your kitchen sink suggestion, definitely something to look into:) Hope you are off to a great Sunday! XxT

  14. Is the kitchen going to be on the opposite wall of the studio now? Having trouble picturing it, so it would be cool to see some side by side before and after shots!

    1. Hi Aly,
Nope, the kitchen will be on the same side that it was previously:) I will definitely try to share some side by sides! Have a great Sunday! xx
