Hello from home! It was back to normal life this week. A lot of cooking, smiles, snow, freezing temperatures, a few fires to put out, and more! This week has been a real mix of emotions!
I’m heading to the airport today, and I’m pretty excited. I have back-to-back travel and will be away for 10 days, maybe more. Part of me is nervous, but more than anything I feel excited and so happy! This trip is all for work. We have the last couple of book signings, a stop in Miami for the South Beach Food and Wine Festival (I secretly want to plan a day trip to Palm Beach, one of my favorite places to visit), then another trip to New York to tape a fun morning show and a record a podcast too!
I really love the podcasting platform and always get excited when I’m invited to record. It’s such a great way to have a long-form conversation. What podcasts do you love to listen to? What’s your favorite podcast style? I’m genuinely very curious to hear what you all love. Plus, I’m always looking for new podcasts to listen to!
I could not be more excited to head to Toronto! I’ve never been, and this will be my first time coming to Canada for a book signing. I was really nervous the tickets wouldn’t sell, but our Canadian community really came through, and the tickets are just about sold out!! How fun! I can’t wait to meet many of you soon. It’s going to be fun!
I spent some time this week planning out looks for my travel. I love to have my outfits planned before leaving home. We first make a spreadsheet full of looks. Then, I order any new pieces I might need and try everything on (which is not my favorite process, but it’s worth it, and it saves time while traveling!). Then I create a packing list, being sure not to leave anything off, and then pack it all! I have a bag of white and black layering tees that I always bring and some extra tights in case any rip, which they usually do! These I keep in my bag for all trips so if I need them, they are there!
This process/method makes packing so much easier and takes the stress out of getting dressed for events and or meetings. It is a good amount of work though! Also, fun fact? I really dread packing. It might be one of my least favorite things to do! What about you? Love packing or dread it like me?
It’s always worth it though! Packing is not my mom’s favorite either, but she has too many people to pack for, so I understand that!
And the thing I have to say is that it was a weird week. A lot of mixed emotions. We’re in a growth phase with the brand and sometimes it’s so overwhelming and scary. I don’t feel like I know all the right moves to be making. And then we had some fires to put out this week that just felt overwhelming. If you struggle with anxiety like me, deep breathing is really helpful. I’m obviously not a doctor, but I do think my inferred light sun blanket helps me at night. And, of course, legs up the wall! I do both of these every night and they really help to calm my energy!
Ok, I think that’s all of my rambles for today. Enjoy a very springy Favorite’s post, and happy Sunday!
What are you looking forward to?
reading/watching…. Have you watched this yet? It’s beyond crazy.
everything in my cart (low)…The Frankie Shop always has the best coats. I love this wool jacket. I think I would wear it with these cute dark wash jeans from Lioness. And to complete the look, the perfect Faux Leather Bowling Bag
Loving this wool blend sweater for cold days. It’s February, we need sweaters! This is a great knit top to layer with. If you need a full skirt, try this skirt from Free People. This Reformation pointelle top is another great staple.
Zara has the perfect basic soft knit sweater.
Jewelry-wise, I love these tubular pavé triple huggie earrings from Coach.
listening to…. You must listen to this. I already ordered a whole Caraway set.
planning a spring vacation…consider
loving… the
also loving…. Her collection that t was shown for fall/winter 2025 NYFW is the prettiest I’ve seen yet. She knows how women want to dress!
shopping…. This collection, which is now available on Victoria’s Secret, is really chic and cute. This has a mid-range price point that’s more attainable than a traditional designer collection. I love this satin evening coat. Very pretty!
everything in my cart (beauty)…going to order this Le Baume All-In-One Repairing Balm for Extremely Dry Skin and Eczema from Doré. I read about how effective it is for dry skin. It’s also good for winter skin and anyone suffering from dermatitis. Plus, it’s super affordable!
I’ve also read the same about the Redness Solutions Daily Relief Face Cream from Clinique. And then I love the Barrier Butter from Rhode too.
Want to try this Copper Body Brush from HigherDOSE.
Makeup-wise, Bella Hadid created the cutest 5-minute makeup routine using this Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer from Clinique and a Match Stix Matte Skinstick Amber in contour shade with cool undertones matte finish from Fenty Beauty. Seems easy enough to me!
watching….
ordered…CRZ YOGA Butterluxe High Waisted Lounge Legging. Can’t wait to try these out. Apparently, they’re just as good or better than Lululemon, Alo, etc.
everything in my cart (high)…I love this Nando Jacket from Khaite (I told you, the brand has the best jackets!). And these are really cute brushed leather pumps from Prada.
dreaming of going…. I need to make it to Japan. My younger brothers, Red and Malachi, love Tokyo, maybe this is our next trip!
something fun…. I want to try to get into a new hobby together with Asher (I keep nudging her). Adding ballet to my list of things to try!

Aspen – I was so bummed to have to cancel the book tour signing with FWRD/REVOLVE yesterday. We made the call mid-week as we knew a big storm was coming. We made the right call; the highway was closed, and I wouldn’t have been able to get there. As of early this morning, Aspen has received 15″ of snow with a winter weather warning, and more snow expected today.
Toronto – Wednesday, February 19, 6:00 pm at the Crate and Barrel in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre. As mentioned above, I’m so excited to hit Canada, and that ticket sales are going well!
Miami – Sunday, February 23, 1:00 pm at the Crate and Barrel at The Shops at Merrick Park in Coral Gables. There are still plenty of tickets here, so please come and see me! This should be a more intimate signing with more time to chat and browse the store!
Brooklyn – We had to cancel/reschedule this stop. Ticket sales weren’t great, plus we’re working to plan an event here in late March/early April.
Link to Book Tour Page – where tickets can be purchased!

We’ve made a big change to the comments section of the website. I’m sure many of you have noticed. In order to leave a comment on the website, your comment now has to be approved before it’s posted. This is a huge change for us and a change that I was really hoping to not have to make. It makes me so sad to limit who can comment now. After a year+ of hateful, hurtful comments left only to create conflict in the comment section, we needed to make the change.
It seems we had a group of people who really just wanted to bring hate to a space that I want to feel happy and uplifting. These rude, hurtful comments steered many away from reading the site as they felt targeted every time they left a kind comment. This made me so sad. Our comment section has always been a place for us to answer your questions, take in constructive feedback, and listen to your stories!
I want to get back to this! I hope that by managing the comments before they are posted, we can bring back the positivity! This space is only meant to bring happiness into our lives. I’m excited to get it back!

Hello Tieghan, I have enjoyed your posts for years, love your recipes and your cookbooks. I have even sent a few editions to a friend in the UK who enjoys cooking too. I am very sorry that there have been unkind people leaving negative posts and/or comments. There is just too much negativity in the world and it sucks up so much energy. Being positive and sharing it with others is energizing and rewarding, plus it costs nothing. You are incredible! I always look forward to my Sunday morning cup of coffee with you!
Hey Eva,
I appreciate you reading for so many years:) Love that you enjoy the recipes and cookbooks, this means so much to me! Thanks for your kind message and taking the time to comment! Have the best Sunday! XxT

You are an inspiration and joy to so many!
I have all of your cookbooks, and I treasure them and use them, and every recipe I make is fabulous!

Cheers to you, Tieghan!♡
Aww, thank you so much, Cynthia, you are so kind! I appreciate your support and love to hear you enjoy the cookbooks! Have the best Sunday! xT
I value all 4 of your cookbooks but the newest one is my favorite. It’s a work of art. Read it cover to cover. I enjoyed your tips and comments for each recipe. Your food is relevant in my life. I like your flavor profiles.
My thirty-something daughters also have your cookbooks. I sent one to Loveland, Colorado and Houston, TX. I’m in Wyoming making the one-pot recipes.
Hey Susan,
Thanks for your comment today, I am so glad you are loving the new cookbook, this makes me so happy! Thanks for sharing them with your daughters as well:) Have the best Sunday! xxT
Can you please explain your legs up the wall method/routine ? I know you mention it often and I’m very intrigued. Also, just wanted to say I really appreciate all that you put into this blog. I know the time and attention it takes for everything including your recipes , the writing, the research, etc. is no small undertaking so thank you. I appreciate you in your family.
Hey Marla,
I appreciate your thoughtful message and love to hear you enjoy the blog:) I put my legs up a wall usually at the end of every day. It’s good for circulation and digestion, calms the nervous system, and relieves tired legs. Let me know if you give it a try! Happy Sunday! xT
Thank you as always for your nine favorite things. I look forward to it every Sunday. Making the spicy beef chili this week! Keep the great content coming 😊
Thanks so much for reading each week, Jennifer! I hope you love the chili, let me know how it turns out:) Happy Sunday! xx

Thanks so much for sharing your favorite podcasts, Susan! I too love Armchair Expert! Happy Sunday! xT
Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard fam, and HBH team! I’m so excited to see all the new ways your brand is growing! As far as travel, packing is the worst. It truly stresses me out so much because I’m always afraid I’ll forget something that I won’t be able to replace when I get to my destination. I loved NFT this week and love that you are bringing peace and positivity back to the comments section. Have a wonderful week!
Hey Jen,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading:) Ahhh glad I am not the only one who has issues when it comes to packing, even though I have found a method that works well for me, it can always be a bit stressful. Glad you enjoyed today’s post! xT
What is an inferred sun blanket? I’ve never heard of that!
Hi Sue,
It’s a blanket that mimics the energy heat from the sun. It’s supposed to increase your core body temperature, increase blood flow, circulation, and helps with anti-aging. Let me know if you have any other questions! xx
Is it similar to an infrared sauna blanket or do they have different benefits?
It’s the same thing:)
Do you mean “infrared sauna blanket”?? Inferred sun blanket doesn’t bring up much on google.
Yes, that is correct:)
*infrared
Thank you for another great Sunday morning post. Good thing you are young because your travel itinerary sounds exhausting but fun! Making your one pot chili mac and cheese today. Sure looks delicious and just what my family needs during this cold spell. Take care!
Hey Ellen,

Hey Marilyn,
Thanks a lot for reading and your kind message:) I’m so glad you have been enjoying the content and mix of ideas. Happy Sunday! xT
Good for you for requiring comment review prior to posting! It’s ridiculous that it had to come to that & I know it was a hard decision. But, good riddance to the Dementors who want to steal everyone’s joy. So, thanks…
Apple Cider Vinegar-as a long time (19+ years & counting) survivor of triple negative breast cancer- I could barely finish the first episode. It’s truly horrifying that a) someone could & would fake having cancer for monetary gain & b) that this show was even made. There is nothing glamorous or cute about having cancer-it’s sometimes 1 step forward & 2 steps back, it’s delayed nausea & a scratchy wig & hot flashes & overwhelming fatigue! It’s feeling the need to be a cheerleader for family who are terrified.
But it’s also the support of a fabulous medical team & of friends/family; it’s considering the residual side effects of chemo as reminders that life is great. So many people struggle with the day to day realities that trivializing that reality by some wanna-be-famous twit, well, you can see it brings up strong emotions!
Moving on-you will LOVE Toronto. It is be of my favourite cities ever. It’s simultaneously multi cultural & down to earth. Have the best time! And, keep doing what you are doing.
Hi Dale! Thank you for this comment! You have every right to have a passionate response to “apple cider vinegar”!! I can’t imagine being in your shoes and watching this show, it makes me upset and feel so sad for anyone who was affected! Horrible!!
I’m so sorry you had to deal with any of these struggles!!! But look where you are now! You are so strong, beautiful and soooo kind! Go you!!!
Hoping you are having a wonderful weekend! And yes I am looking forward to Toronto!!
