Nine Favorite Things
Happy Fall! Happy Autumn! Itโs finally โspookyโ season!
The excitement Iโm feeling is so nice following up the slowness of summer. I donโt why it is exactly, but this time of year makes me so happy. Donโt get me wrong, I have my days and moments of really feeling overwhelmed. If Iโm being honest with myself, there are too many things I want to tackle over the next 3 months. I know itโs unrealistic, yet I really want to try. I really do love this time of year! Iโll be starting my holiday Cocktail Saturday series next week to kick off the holiday fun.
Is there anything youโre looking forward to? I always like to pick one thing that Iโm really excited about each month. For September, I was so excited to be able to be in New York over fashion week. I was excited to go on the Drew Barrymore show, to attend a few shows, and to speak on podcasts. It was such a great trip.
For October, I again have so much to be excited about. Iโm looking forward to diving into the spooky season! Iโll be sharing some fun-themed cocktails and possibly even a few Halloween-inspired desserts too. Would anyone like to see that? But most importantly, we have an exciting launch coming in October!
Itโs what Iโm looking really looking forward to most, I canโt wait to share it! Do you think you know what it is?
On the family front, we had an unexpected week and quite a scare. My brother Malachi had to have emergency surgery on his hip this week. Kai had a snowboarding accident back in middle school and had to have hip replacement. We arenโt sure how he contracted it, but somehow, he got a staph infection around his hip prosthesis. He was in intense pain for over a week so Creighton drove him to a specialist in LA. Once the specialist saw him he knew he needed surgery immediately.
Creighton and Cait, Kaiโs girlfriend, have been with him through it all and were so amazing. My parents, Asher, and Oslo flew out to LA to be with him too. It was a scary week, but things are much more manageable and he is now feeling a million times better.
Hopefully, the surgery will work and he will be on the mend. It was honestly a really scary situation and could have ended a lot worse. We are all so thankful that he is out of pain and doing so much better.
In other news, Asher has been acting as my personal assistant these days and helping so much. She unpacked all my clothes from New York, got together some returns, and even shipped them out! Sheโs such a helper!
Oslo is also well, his second birthday is in 2 weeks! Iโll have to think of something fun to get him. Heโs the sweetest little guy.
Thatโs all for now. Hope you all find a great way to enjoy the last Sunday of September! Oh, and last but not least, if you missed it, I shared my yearly roundup of all the most popular Fall Recipes. There are definitely some great ones to try here!

1. Things Iโm loving, wanting, and excited to tryโฆย
watchingโฆHocus Pocus 2 โ canโt wait. It premiers on Friday on Disney+.ย
burningโฆso many new candles. My favorite for fall is the Snif sweet ash candle. The warming notes and hints of vanilla remind me of fall baking. And then, Iโm excited to try burning Netteโs chai milk scented candle. It smellโs just like a warming cup of Chai
everything in my cart (low)โฆso many good finds this week. From Zara, this double-sided short jacket looks just like the Prada bomber jacket I am obsessed with. Coming in a very close second is the Mango shearling jacket.ย
More Mango finds, I love this slit denim skirt. If you want something long, the Free People denim maxi skirt is perfect, or try their vegan maxi skirt. Back to Mango, these high wasted wide-leg jeans would be really cute with their black faux leather trench coat.ย
From & Other Stories, the feather knit jumper and wool sweater are very cute and cozy for fall. Also very cute and cozy is this long fuzzy wool coat.ย
From H&M, these loafers are a staple. They would be cute with this ribbed knit dress and wool blend coat.ย
And lastly, this faux leather bag looks just like a Bottega Veneta. And I love this black leather shoulder bag. It reminds me of a bag from The Row.ย
ย
listening toโฆHow to Constantly Level Up, Motivate Yourself, Maximize Time and Keep Growing. Iโm only halfway through, but enjoying the episode.ย
dreaming of going toโฆ. For whatever reason, I love a haunted house. I used to spend weekends in October watching ABC Familyโs, Scariest Places on Earth.ย
wantingโฆthe Beast Blender. Has anyone purchased this? It has such good reviews and would be perfect for morning smoothies.ย
readingโฆLeanne Fordโs newly released quarterly art-centric magazine called Feel Free.

lovingโฆDae hair products. I havenโt switched up my hair products in the longest time. I take such good care of my skin but always forget about my hair. Loving their moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.ย
reorderingโฆPointe Studio socks. These are worth the extra money. I love the style and the grips on the bottom are a game changer. I ordered the fun yellow color and then reordered the black (for the 3rd time).ย
thinking of orderingโฆthe UGG classic ultra mini platform boot. These are so cute and great for slipping on in the fall/winter. But do I need them?ย
wantingโฆa fiddle leaf fig plant. Honestly, I donโt love plants, but I think this could brighten my house when I donโt have fresh flowers.ย
lovingโฆ. So, so, so stunning. And yes, Aspen really is that pretty in the fall. High on my list is upstate New York. Dying to go apple-picking there.
everything in my cart (high)โฆoh, I have a lot this week. So many fall finds! Letโs start with Prada, I am obsessed. I love this black cloth jacket. Itโs oversized but cinched at the waste. I could live in this cashmere sweater. And then, this large leather handbag in cognac, but also the medium handbag in tobacco.ย
Continuing with handbags, this Balenciaga leather chain bag is the โitโ bag right now. As is this Celine bag. Personally, I think Iโd go for the smaller Celine bag, cute and classic.ย
For fall shoes, these Bottega Veneta knee high boots are perfection. And we canโt forget about these Prada knee high leather boots, super cute. Ok, but I think my favorite is the black calf leather wedge knee high boot from Jimmy Choo. And lastly, these Fendi brown leather slingbacks are the cutest and I want them the most.ย
Moving on to skirts. This Bottega leather midi skirt is cute, but then I love this denim midi skirt from Khaite too. And then this Ann Demeulemeester wool maxi skirt. Iโd wear it with this pretty Brunello Cucinelli knit hoodie for a cozy look.ย
Speaking of knits, the Staud jeromine sweater is a fun shade of yellow. And Iโd love this cashmere vest from Le Kasa.
If you have a black tie event, this Tom Ford velvet and tule maxi dress is stunning. Or actually, I love this Tom Ford one-shoulder velvet mini dress paired with a black velvet hooded cape. The cape really steps up the look.ย
ย
listening toโฆthe HBH fall playlist. McKenzie made us a fall playlist! Itโs cozy Sunday vibes are perfect for chill fall days.ย

lovingโฆBoll & Branch bath sets and cozy throws. Use code TIEGHAN20 for 20% off your order.ย
shoppingโฆsecretly all things holiday at Anthropologie. Both Thanksgiving and Christmas, but especially Christmas. And definitely the ribbon (itโs already on backorder). Things sell out so fast, so Iโm making sure to snatch up everything I want before theyโre gone. Anyone else already excited for holiday fun?
watchingโฆKendall Jenner Revists Her Looks, From 2007 to Now. I love these videos.ย

3. Some Fall skincare.

4. Favorite questions of the week.
q: best hostess gift ideas?
a: You can never go wrong with candles or flowers. But I love to bring a Staub skillet as a gift to housewarming dinners. On the simpler side, a thank you note + candle or bouquet of flowers is always thoughtful. Self-care items can be great too. Or put together a homemade goodie box with all your favorite spices and/or sauces.
q: what is your least favorite part of your job?
a: Maybe email ? no probably not, thatโs just what Iโm trying to get through right now. Each day is so different. I donโt think I can say thereโs anything I really hate, hate. Yeah, I donโt love email, but sometimes they can be exciting emails! This will annoy people, but I think I really do love every part of my business. And the more we grow, the more I love it. Itโs so incredible to see growth and honestly, itโs so much fun. I donโt even mind the cleaning. I usually have help and itโs a nice time for my brain to not be โworkingโ.
q: favorite way to travel? Car, train, plane, boat, etc?
a: For efficiency, a plane without a doubt, but I hate airports and the whole day of travel when flying. Just not my favorite. If time is not a factor, I think a train could be fun. Or maybe a boat and make a trip out of it!ย
q: what is an easy dish to make/bring to someone who just had a baby?
a: There are sooo many good recipes you could bring. With September around the corner, I have to say, I would bring my white chicken chili. Itโs always everyoneโs favorite and so easy.ย
q: what do you do for self-care?ย
a: Iโm pretty religious with my skincare. And I hike every morning! Otherwise, Iโm not the absolute greatest at self-care. But I always make time for movement in the morning, and skincare morning + night.ย
q: what do your parents do for work? When did Oslo come into your family?
a: We all work together at HBH. Before HBH, my dad sold bonds and my mom was, and still is, super mom to all 8 of her kids + my 3 cousins (and uncle). Crazy that almost two years have gone by now, but Oslo will be two on October 11th!ย
q: 30th birthday gift ideas? Something that will last a lifetime?
a: Skip the gift and take a trip together. The memories/experience will outlast anything you could wrap!ย
q; do a whatโs in my bag video!
a: Love when people do this. When Iโm home, I have nothing in my bag ? Iโm pretty much at the studio working at all hours. But itโs fun when I travel and Iโm picky about what goes in!! More to come. Iโll do a video for my next trip.ย
q: What dry brush do you use? How many times a week do you do it?
a: I use the Dr. Barbara Sturm dry brush. I do it every night before showing. Itโs changed my skin and helped so much with circulation and inflammation since Iโm on my feet all day long. Melissa Wood Tepperberg has really good information on how to dry brush efficiently.
q: best purchases for the kitchen?
a: Staub cast iron cookware and ceramic dinnerware set. Miyabi cutlery. Subzero fridge and Wolf range (they are costly though). Breville espresso machine. Cuisinart food processor. Vitamix blender. Zara Home silverware set. Crate and Barrel glassware + serving bowls and platters.ย
q: do you donate your clothes when you clean your closet?
a: Asher always picks through first! Itโs one of her fav things to do these days. But yes, everything else is donated.
q: favorite restaurant in Aspen?
a: Try Bear Den on Hopkins. Or just across the street is the White House Tavern for the best fried chicken sandwiches. Or go healthier and get the kale Ceasar salad. And then for sushi, try Jing.
q: do you use any kind of non-stick skillet?
a: I donโt own any nonstick skillets or pots. Everything I use is cast iron or copper.
