Thanks for joining me for another Nine Favorite Things post.

After all the excitement from last weekโs big wedding, it actually felt good to jump back into a regular workweek. Oh man, hosting a 200 person wedding is certainly a big undertakingโฆand I didnโt even do that much! The bride, the groom, and the parents did the majority of the work. And thankfully, we had cleaners at the barn all day on Sunday. By Monday morning 90% percent of the clean-up/put back together had been complete. Itโs safe to say that come Sunday evening everyone was pretty tiredโฆbut also so happy! The wedding was beautiful and everyone had an amazing time. Even the cakes I was so nervous about seemed to go over well. I donโt think we could have asked for it to turn out any better. More wedding details below.
I am such a creature of habit, so it was nice to have my workspace back. And me being me, I jumped right back into things. Iโm currently working to get ahead in preparation for the launch of HBH Super Simple in just over a month. I finally received the very first hard copy this week, and you guys?
I AM SO EXCITED!
Itโs always nerve-racking to open up the first hard copy, but even though I had my worries, the cookbook looks better than I thought it could. I officially canโt wait until October 29th when I get to share the book with you guys. The other day I gave you all a big sneak peek inside on Instagram. I am so nervous to release this book, but my fingers are crossed in hopes that everyone loves it! Keep your eyes peeled for some bonus material coming very, very soon!
In other news, my parents helped my younger brother Red to set up his new house out in Tahoe this week. Itโs so fun to see Red growing up and taking on new responsibilities. Word on the street is that the family is spending Thanksgiving there. That should be interesting with our crew. Iโm so excited for him, I hear the house is pretty cool.
Coming up this week on HBH, weโll be kicking off the official start to autumn with truly my most favorite salad recipe yet. Next, weโll move on to the first pumpkin dish of the year. Then a super cozy vegetarian take on a classic comfort food, and a bowl of healthy soup. Weโll finish up the week in the best way possible, with cake! Lastly, on Saturday weโll have our first Halloween cocktail.
Nothing not to love!

What are your Sunday plans? Is anyone apple picking?

Whatโs happened to cocktail Saturday?! The last two weeks thereโs been nothing and Iโm so sad!
Hey Kelly,
I decided to push the first post back and start On October 5th. Donโt worry, they are coming! Once we start on the 5th, I will run the seris through the holidays. So sorry I didnโt share a new today! xxTieghan
Hi Tieghan,
Of course! I love supporting your blog, no matter how big or small. ๐ Youโre recipes always make me smile, but your character and personality, more so. Hopefully we can finally meet one day! Until then, Iโm looking forward to seeing what you cook up with~ ๐
You are so sweet! Thank you so much Kristin! xTieghan
Your โ9 favorite thingsโ post is one of my top favorite things each week! Thank you for sharing such great content. Your recipes have helped me go from clueless to confident in the kitchen this year โ needless to say, Iโm a huge fan ๐ I was just wondering if you might be planning some new fish recipes? I love the lemon parmesan salmon and the cilantro lime salmon with mango salsa recipes โ just hoping you might do a mahi or another type of fish soon, too ๐ THANK YOU!
Thank you!! I am so glad you have loved these recipes and I will look into it! xTieghan
Hey Tieghan!
I loved seeing all of the cakes you made and the wedding (and bride) looked magical. Thank you for sharing some of your photos (I loved seeing some non professional photos for a bit!) and I feel like the pumpkin or peanut butter would have been my favorite! I bet a chai spiced peanut butter cake would be equally as lovely! Also, thank you so much for always being so thoughtful about your posts, comments, and everything you do. You really have been my favorite blogger and I honestly look forward to reading your posts and hearing how youโre doing. Iโm sorry I havenโt been able to comment as often but am always reading what youโre up to and the (constantly changing) recipes! Iโm excited for the new cookbook release and am even more excited for you!! Haha looking back at the fall and Halloween cocktails and I wonder how youโll come up with new ideas.
Either way, Iโm looking forward to seeing what you cook up and always hearing how youโve been. Happy first day of fall Tieghan!
