Every good party needs a great cocktail, and this Holiday Pear Sangria is just that. It’s my favorite festive drink to serve up this season. White wine mixed with pear brandy, fresh pears, cranberries, winter citrus, spices, and a splash of ginger beer. It’s sweet, refreshing, so easy to make, and perfect for all holiday parties.

To celebrate the season, I recently traveled to New York City to host a very fun and special holiday event and cookbook signing with Harry & David. I walked everyone through how I create the perfect holiday cheese board, signed books, and chatted the night away. It was so fun to get meet some of you in person, and to hear your stories of how you came to find me and Half Baked Harvest. It was truly such a special night. I’m SO grateful for all of you who continue to read and make HBH recipes in your kitchen.
As mentioned, I teamed up with Harry & David to create a festive holiday cheese board. To go along with it, I created this sweet pear sangria you see here. Both of which were served at the event. This sangria is one of my favorites, it’s great for easy holiday entertaining!

To make this sweet pear sangria, simply mix white wine with a little apple or pear brandy, then add in seasonal fruits like pears, cranberries, and winter citrus. I love topping my sangria off with ginger beer for a nice spicy kick. So delicious and refreshing.
You can make this up to couple of days ahead, perfect for the busy hostess.

Since not all of you could attend the event in NYC I wanted to share some photos. I’d also like to gift one reader a Gift Basket and a 12 Month delivery to the Fruit of the Month Club!

My favorite Christmas tradition is our annual Mammaw Christmas party. It’s a family reunion for my mom’s family. We usually have about 30 – 35 in attendance. We have a White Elephant gift exchange and Santa makes an appearance. We are now on our fourth generation of small children.
My favorite holiday tradition is reading “A Visit from Saint Nicolas” on Christmas Eve. It’s the copy my dad was given for his first Christmas in 1960.
My favorite Christmas tradition is going to high tea with my parents and my sister just before Christmas – it is the best way to slow down and just enjoy being with each other during the hustle & bustle of Christmas!
This looks so good! Can’t wait to give it a try at our annual full-family Christmas Eve party. It’s my favorite tradition! All the cousins have a cookie bake-off with my grandparents as the judge, then we eat, drink, and catch up.
My favorite holiday tradition is candlelit family dinner all 4 Sundays of advent!
Sled riding with my family and friends
I don’t have many from growing up, but we’re trying to make some with our three year old now! For a few years we’ve driven up into the mountains to find snow.
On Christmas Eve, we open one gift, new pjs. Eat heavy appetizers and watch Christmas movies.
Favorite tradition is buying a new Christnas ornament for my daughter every year!
I can’t wait to try this cocktail recipe!
My favorite Christmas tradition (even though it’s hard to choose just one) is breakfast on Christmas morning. My husband makes (the best ever) sausage gravy to pour over freshly baked biscuits. Some enjoy coke from the bottle, others an early morning Christmas cocktail (mimosas!).
I love your recipes so much! I am an avid cheese lover myself and that’s what I love most about your blog! So much cheese! Thank you so much for being one me the joy of cooking this year. I have never really cooked before and I discovered your instagram and it was live at first sight! I have made many of your recipes this past year and can’t wait to make more! Thank you for the joy you have brought to my life and thank you for the new found joy of cooking!
Favorite holiday tradition–making your gingerbread cinnamon rolls w/ cream cheese frosting for Christmas morning!
Favourite Holiday atradition: Making homemade gingerbread every Christmas Eve with the family and decorating gingerbread men. Afterwards we each open one present before Christmas Day. ❤️

I look forward to putting up the tree with a zillion lights, and relaxing with the kitties and my husband. Either reading a book, or watching some fun holiday movies.
