Every good party needs a great cocktail, and this Holiday Pear Sangria is just that. It’s my favorite festive drink to serve up this season. White wine mixed with pear brandy, fresh pears, cranberries, winter citrus, spices, and a splash of ginger beer. It’s sweet, refreshing, so easy to make, and perfect for all holiday parties.

To celebrate the season, I recently traveled to New York City to host a very fun and special holiday event and cookbook signing with Harry & David. I walked everyone through how I create the perfect holiday cheese board, signed books, and chatted the night away. It was so fun to get meet some of you in person, and to hear your stories of how you came to find me and Half Baked Harvest. It was truly such a special night. I’m SO grateful for all of you who continue to read and make HBH recipes in your kitchen.
As mentioned, I teamed up with Harry & David to create a festive holiday cheese board. To go along with it, I created this sweet pear sangria you see here. Both of which were served at the event. This sangria is one of my favorites, it’s great for easy holiday entertaining!

To make this sweet pear sangria, simply mix white wine with a little apple or pear brandy, then add in seasonal fruits like pears, cranberries, and winter citrus. I love topping my sangria off with ginger beer for a nice spicy kick. So delicious and refreshing.
You can make this up to couple of days ahead, perfect for the busy hostess.

Since not all of you could attend the event in NYC I wanted to share some photos. I’d also like to gift one reader a Gift Basket and a 12 Month delivery to the Fruit of the Month Club!

My favorite holiday tradition is getting together with my Hispanic neighbors and making tons of tamales!
This recipe looks delicious I can’t wait to try it I absolutely love Pinot grigio and Harry and David anything is the best! One of my favorite holiday traditions is getting all cozy sitting on our bed and reading twas the night before Christmas with our two children. We have done this every year since they were babies from the same book and they are now 16 and 18! I hope that they will someday do this with their children. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good-night!
We have a few holiday traditions but one of my favorites is our Christmas Eve tradition. Every Christmas Eve the kids open a gift that has Christmas pajamas, a Christmas DVD, hot cocoa, and a sweet treat. It’s such a nice way to enjoy the evening before Santa arrives!

My Favorite holiday tradition is making Norwegian cookies with my dad, and this year my two little ones got to join!
My favorite holiday tradition is putting up all ornaments my children made when little.
Lasagna after Mass on Christmas Eve and turning off all the lights to sing carols by the Christmas tree
My family always watches “Christmas with The Waltons”
My favorite tradition is Christmas Tamales and Pijamas the night before. These are an absolute must and forces the family to cuddle up together!
My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas morning when my younger brother and I wake up at about 4AM (yes, we’re crazy) to start Christmas breakfast (usually donuts & some sort of strata). Then once the entire family is up, the great stocking hunt begins! My parents hide all the stocking stuffers around the house and the kids (and now grandkids) run around the house trying to find all the ones with our names on them first! It is crazy and so much fun! We are now in our 30’s and it’s still just as much fun as it was when we were in high school.
Having an xmas movie marathon with my BFFs while munching on our fave holiday snacks (Moose munch and Peppermint bark!)
Our favorite holiday tradition is Christmas brunch. We go all out and have a huge brunch instead of a large Christmas dinner.
My fave holiday tradition is the Gingerbread House Decorating party I host every year during the holidays! So much fun to get all the girls together and make gingerbread houses, and let’s be honest, eating all the candy and FROSTING!!! I basically get to channel the inner BUDDY the ELF in me lol 🙂
We love reading ? Christmas classics aloud each night.
Favorite tradition is watching hallmark movies and drinking peppermint tea with my mom!
My family opens a Christmas presents one a time, youngest to oldest and then back to youngest and so on. When you have a big enough group this can make gift unwrapping an hours long affair. Multiple eating breaks and coffee top ups are necessary. It’s the best!
