Honestly, I cannot believe this day is actually here…I finally get to reveal the cover, and even a few details, about The Half Baked Harvest Cookbook!

I do realize that the book is not even out…yet, but today’s the day I can actually show you guys, not only the COVER, but also a sneak peek inside, plus all the preorder details! I am SO excited it’s not even funny! I am also SO super nervous for everyone’s feedback. But I think I’m more excited than anything else.
As a lot of you know, this book has been almost two years in the making now. Yes, it takes a while to create a cookbook, and I had no idea how much work would be involved. But like I have mentioned, I could not be happier with how it is shaping up. The recipes are in…and have been tested over, and over, and over, by not only me but also my amazing recipe tester, Peter. The writing is complete and the photos have all been turned in. And while I don’t love each and every photo, the book would never be ready for that to happen. All in all, I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. So all that’s left now is to prep for the books release, which is September 12th, 2017! Just six short months away! 🙂

What I love most about this cookbook is that there is a little something for everyone. Everything from the super healthy to the super indulgent, to everyday easy dinners, to weekend pastas that are worth the extra time! Count on finding plenty of easy crockpot recipes along with recipes that take just thirty minutes start to finish! There are plenty of breakfast options, appetizers to please a crowd, pasta and pizza galore, and even some veggie heavy recipes. And yes, there’s an entire chapter on desserts. Some are a chocolate lovers dream, some are super fruity and a handful are even healthy…ish.
The Half Baked Harvest cookbook is truly a refection of what you see on the blog. The recipes in the cookbook are the best of the BEST, my most favorite creations. Recipes I have saved on my computer over the last four years for when the time came to put them into a cookbook. These recipes are what I am calling the HBH creme de la crumb recipes, they are my most treasured recipes. With each recipe there is also a photo, and for some recipes there even two. As you guys know, I LOVE photos and one of the most important things to me was that each recipe have at least one beautiful photo to accompany it!
OK, so let me give you a little sneak peek inside…
The Savory Eats…

The Sweet Eats…

A few things to note…
…there are a total of eight chapters: breakfast, snacks & appetizers, pasta & grains, poultry & pork, meat, seafood, (mostly) meatless, and desserts.
…the breakfast chapter is huge and full of both sweet and savory recipes.
…there is plenty of pasta…and pizza. Obviously.
…plenty of appetizers and snacks.
…a whole chapter on (mostly) meatless meals…or mostly meatless and even some vegan recipes. 🙂
…there is a photo and a story with every recipe, just like here on the blog.
…all of the recipes are brand new and never before seen!

This is my third attempt trying to write a comment. This morning (Europe time) there was not a single comment and look at the list now!
First, congratulations on your book. Looking at the quantity of your recipes one could think you must have had several cookbooks by now.
I love every recipe from you, especially desserts and everything sweet.
Every entry you make, a recipe you post, is a piece of art. A story that goes with every recipe is a bonus to that.
Although I love your blog, I can´t wait to buy your book. Nothing compares to the feeling of holding a book, turning pages…this feeling is priceless to me. That´s why I buy cookbooks and food magazines. And I look forward very much to buying yours.
Thank you for sharing your recipes and life with us.
My best regards from across the ocean,
Hana
Not only am i just excited about the book in general, since my partner and I basically make a HBH recipe every night..
I am so excited to have the book out in front of me! I am guilty of constantly printing out recipes and trying to stuff them into drawers with all of their ingrediant stains as signs of successful cooking / baking. My boyfriend thinks I am ridiculous for not just usually the online version but there is something about having that physical recipe opened out infront of you. Can’t wait to see all of the new treats and savory goodness in this book!
I am looking forward to some awesome new dinners to cook for my husband. About 99% of the dinners I make come from what you post. I just love how bright your flavors are! I have been chomping at the bit for anything new you have been posting about your cookbook. I can’t wait!!!
I love the salads…always so creative and I just feel like they are always loaded with fresh healthy ingredients, ( which makes me feel less guilty for overeating them!).
Love your recipes! Keep um coming!
I’m excited for new chicken recipes. Your photos are stunning!
I can hardly wait for your cookbook to be in my kitchen! I love trying your recipes and have many favourites! Cover is beautiful! Congratulations so exciting!
Ooh la la! That fancy toast, eight ways, looks delicious…!
Hard to say what I’m most excited for (so many things)! We make your recipes at least once a week in our house! Most excited for the meat chapters I think!
OMG, Tieghan, WOW!
I couldn’t be more excited for you! I’ve written books (for a graphic arts industry niche) and KNOW how much work writing a book is …
Shouldn’t I WIN a copy, I will BUY one: Any one ice cream recipe or cookie recipe or photo (even if YOU “DON’ love each and every photo”) will be super worth it! And I will be able to do some more conversions into the metric system for you! ;o)
From Germany, Eike
I am super excited just to look through the beautiful photos and look forward to having the time to try my favorites!
One thing you should know is that I am a recipe book enthusiast… I proudly display my beloved books right in my kitchen for all to admire. But I am very selective about the recipe books I buy… I must tell you I have been waiting to buy your cookbook since you first announced the exciting news. Your recipes are full of variety, color and of course flavor. I am never disappointed when I try one of your recipes. I can’t wait to add a beautiful addition to my collection!
I can hardly wait until I have your beautiful cookbook in my hands and begin cooking your great recipes! My favourite meal of the day is breakfast so I am very happy that you are offering both savoury and sweet recipes in the breakfast section of your cookbook.
Your cookbook looks amazing! I’ve been waiting so long for you to release it 🙂 I’m most excited about the meatless section, since I’m a vegan. However, I love taking your meat-based recipes and vegan-izing it! Your recipes are the biggest hit at home and I can’t wait to get ahold of your cookbook!
You say “all of the recipes are brand new and never before seen”
Does that mean the luscious portabello mushroom taco w/pineapple lime slaw and cilantro yogurt sauce is not included? Please say I read that incorrectly! I think that may be my favorite recipe ever! Yes, I mean that.
I rarely buy cookbooks anymore because so many recipes are available in other places. However, I was planning to buy this one because I think you are an incredible chef. Your style is totally different than mine, but I love it!
Now about that taco recipe….
Though I am generally Paleo and don’t eat a good portion of the recipes you make, I love your work (both the creative, drool-worthy recipes and your beautiful photography). I will be buying your cookbook not only to make every single recipe I can eat (and modify some of the others!), but also to support you as an artist. You rock girlfriend!
