These simple Baked Garlic Parmesan Boneless Wings are about to become our new game-day favorite. Easy homemade crispy chicken “wings” tossed in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Serve with homemade fries for the easiest sheet pan appetizer or add a salad and call it dinner! This fun bar-style snack is great for entertaining or a quick weeknight dinner.

Happy Super Bowl week everyone! Even if you’re not a football fan, I feel like just about everyone is planning on tuning into the game this Sunday. Between the Taylor Swift content and Usher playing at halftime, there’s something for everyone!
Oh, right, and of course, there’s the actual game as well. But to be honest, I’m here for Taylor, and I love a good halftime show too!
And then, there is, of course, the food! The best part of any game day. I always have so much fun with these recipes.

This year, I have some yummy dishes coming your way, but wings are an absolute must. Usually, I serve up traditional buffalo wings, but after making these garlic parmesan wings, I’m now serving both.
These are so delicious and a great option for anyone who doesn’t love the spiciness of buffalo wings!

Step 1: the chicken
Start with the chicken. Cubed raw chicken, breasts, or thighs, or use a mix of the two as I do. Toss the cubed chicken with a mix of seasonings: smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add flour and parmesan, then toss again.
The flour allows the chicken to get crispy in the oven. I love that crispy texture. It’s a small amount, so just a very light coating, but it’s perfect. Not fully bready chicken wings, but breaded enough so that the sauce really sticks nicely to the chicken.
Bake the chicken up in a super hot oven. It takes maybe 20 minutes to cook.

Step 2: the sauce
For the sauce, you need butter, garlic, cream, parmesan, and cayenne. A very simple mix, but delicious.
Simmer this on the stove for a few minutes to bring everything together into a delicious cream sauce. Nothing fancy to it!

Step 3: coat the chicken in sauce
Pour the sauce over the baked, crispy chicken as soon as it comes out of the oven. The heat helps the sauce really adhere to the chicken.
The coating soaks up all the sauce. It’s going to leave you saying, YUM!
I always finish with extra parmesan cheese, parsley, and black pepper.
For serving, these are so yummy with home-baked french fries and extra parmesan sauce. Or serve over rice with a side of broccoli and make these wings into a dinner!
Perfect for everyone in the family!

I made this for my family over the weekend. I am lactose intolerant so I made some adjustments: I kept the parm but subbed the milk for non-dairy half-and-half (which meant I needed cornstarch to thicken the sauce later). Firstly, the taste was there! I had drumsticks and I had chicken thighs, so I decided to try this on both. My drums were pretty giant, so the coating came out more as flavoring. The thigh pieces though were so delicious and became nearly crispy. I cooked them and then set them under the broiler on high for some time, tossing to get them as crispy as possible. These thigh bites were our favorite by far (wont do the drums next time). The sauce was also delicious and we put it on the side like a dip. Served up with some fries and had a family game night. These meal was rich and definitely not healthy 😉 so we’ll stick this in for one of those every-now-and-then fun family meals!
Hey Charlotte,
Happy Sunday! Thanks a bunch for making this recipe, love to hear it turned out nicely for you! xx
This was delicious and easy to make, but it in no way resembled wings. More like an Alfredo sauce with chicken. My chicken wasn’t crispy at all either. I probably should’ve tried turning the chicken halfway through and then broiling at the end. Regardless, my family loved it!

Could baking powder be used in place of the flour in this recipe?
Hi Nicole,
I think your best option would be cornstarch or arrowroot powder. I hope this helps! xT
One of my favorite half baked harvest recipes I have ever tried. Unreal. The garlic sauce ties it together perfectly. I added rice pilaf and a greek salad for an amazing dinner.

These are AMAZING’ I made a double batch, optimistically thinking I’d have leftovers for the week. Nope 😂 we ate them all.
I did have to bake them for quite a bit longer than the recipe called for, but totally with it.

Made this and followed the recipe precisely. The chicken was very flavorful and everyone asked for the recipe. I will be making this again. (I did sub almond milk for heavy cream and used a butter alternative in the sauce and it still came out perfectly)

Made this last night. Absolutely yummy! The chicken crisped for me so not sure what others were complaining about. Need to space out the chicken and don’t forget the flour!
Thanks so much Charna! Love to hear that this recipe turned out well for you, I appreciate your feedback! xx
Your Garlic Parmesan Sauce recipe was delicious over my chicken wings (I used another recipe for wings). It was so thick and creamy. Great flavor.
Love to hear this Kathy!! Thanks so much for giving the sauce a try:) Xx
This chicken is very yummy. I was disappointed it didn’t turn out crispy like true wings. The next time I make it, I will omit the olive oil and add more flour. This is the second recipe here that I’ve tried where the chicken didn’t turn out as crispy as the picture. The parmesan sauce is very good, just rich.
Hi Angie,
Thanks for trying this recipe and sharing your feedback, sorry to hear they weren’t as crispy as you would have liked! xx
