These easy Homemade Pull Apart Crispy Prosciutto and Cheese Sliders are my new go-to easy appetizer for holiday parties this season. Soft dinner rolls layered with jam, Swiss cheese, and baked crispy prosciutto. Then, a salty Dijon poppy seed garlic butter is poured over the rolls right before baking. Just so delicious. Everyone is obsessed with these! They’re cheesy on the inside, yet golden and toasted outside, with a delicious garlic butter topping.

Never was I the girl who thought I would be making prosciutto and cheese sliders for the holidays, but here we are! And to be honest, I’m so in love with this recipe!!
Ham and prosciutto were just not something I grew up with. My family never had either one at holiday parties. It wasn’t until I started to cook that we all discovered how delicious they can be! As you probably know, we especially love prosciutto!
My mom will tell you that her favorites are glazed ham and crispy prosciutto! She actually will not eat prosciutto unless it’s crispy!
She’s really the reason I came up with this recipe. I wanted to test out classic ham and cheese sliders, but I knew she wouldn’t be into regular deli ham on a roll.
Crispy prosciutto was the obvious solution! And these came out so delicious! We’ve all been in love with these sliders.
I added these cute buns to my Thanksgiving and Christmas menus! They’re just so scrumptious!

Ingredients
Special Tools
Just a couple of sheet pans and some parchment paper! Nothing new here!

Step 1: crisp the prosciutto
Arrange the prosciutto on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then bake for about 10 minutes. Get that prosciutto crispy!
Here’s a little tip: Make some extra for snacks! I always find that a few pieces disappear; my brothers sneak pieces all the time!

Step 2: slice the rolls
Take the dinner rolls and slice them in half. I wish the rolls came pre-sliced, but I have yet to find any already sliced on the market!
Step 3: add the main ingredients
Spread the fig preserves over the bottom of the rolls, then add both cheese and the prosciutto.
Put the top half of the rolls over the prosciutto.

Step 4: make the butter sauce
Mix the melted butter with Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, fresh thyme, garlic, and some black pepper.
Pour the butter sauce over the rolls.
Step 5: bake and serve
All you do now is bake! Get that cheese melty! The rolls will smell so delicious as they bake away!
Slice the rolls and serve them warm. I like to garnish with fresh thyme, which I just think is so pretty this time of year! It gets you right in the holiday mood.
Just as great for Thanksgiving as they will be for all upcoming holiday gatherings!

So good!!! I’ve made them 5 times in 2 months. 2 tbsp of poppy seeds is excessive. I just sprinkled them on the top after the first time! I also can never find a pack of 12 dinner rolls so I just use the recipe for 6 rolls!
Hey Rileigh,

Merry Christmas!🎄🎁
Can’t wait to make! We are doing a progressive dinner crawl with appetizers at each house! We are the second house. How would you prepare these in advance to where I can just bake right before everyone arrives? Thank you!
Hi Tara,
I would make them all the way and then just keep on low in the oven at like 200F.
I hope this helps!
Yummy, but I don’t see where in the directions I am supposed to add the poppy seeds? I added them to the butter mixture.
Hey Ellen,

Tried these on a whim for New Year’s Day and, holy cow, SO good! My husband loved them, and asked if there were any other slider recipes on your site (which I knew there were). We’ve since had them as a lunch/dinner one football Sunday, and plan to make them for the Super Bowl.
Hey Mallory,
Awesome! Thanks a bunch for making this recipe, so glad to hear it was enjoyed! Have a nice Sunday:) xx
Hi, can you make these a few days ahead of time? If so, how do you recommend?
Hi Kelly,
Sure, I would prep the recipe and then you can follow the baking instructions when you are ready to serve. I hope this helps! xx
These sound delicious!! But 3 ounces of prosciutto doesn’t sound like a lot, have you ever tried doubling that amount? Or would that be too much? Merry Christmas and thanks for all your recipes!!
Hi Susan,
You could totally double the amount if you wanted to:) I hope you love this recipe! Happy Holidays! xT
When do poppy sends come into play?
Hi Kim,
Sorry about that, you can add the poppy seeds in step 4. I hope you love this recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xx
