35 of Mom’s Favorite Mother’s Day Recipes
Today, I’m sharing a roundup of our most popular Mother’s Day recipes—plus the top ten that my mom personally loves the most (there are a few new favorites this year!). Mother’s Day is such a special day, and if you ask me, every mom should be treated like a queen. And in my opinion, it should all start and end with the food.
Below you’ll find recipes that are perfect for spending time with your mom (or a mother figure), sweet brunch dishes (these are my mom’s favorite), appetizers, and desserts she’ll love.
Mother’s Day is this Sunday—and if you haven’t planned anything yet, let these recipes save the day! In my mind (and my mom’s too), there’s no better way to say “I love you” than with a homemade meal. Whether it’s brunch or dinner, cocktails or dessert, whatever you put together will make her feel special and appreciated.
Food is the way to most people’s hearts!
You all know the story, but a big part of why I cook is because of my mom. She was the first person I ever shared a recipe with, and to this day, she’s still my favorite person to cook for. When she gets excited about something I’ve made, there’s truly nothing better.
Back in middle school, I used to be home for lunch a lot—either because I was “sick,” had an early release, or who knows what else. I’d spend those lunches with my mom, and one of the first recipes I ever made was a stack of chocolate chip banana pancakes—light on the banana, heavy on the chocolate.
I loved stacking them high on her plate, making them look as pretty as I could, and serving them fresh off the griddle with a cold glass of milk. It was such a special time for us, and thinking back on that memory, I’m feeling like it’s time to make her another stack of those pancakes.
I’m sure we all have memories like these. Below are more recipes to help you create new ones this year. Some are my mom’s personal favorites, and others I think your mom might really enjoy too.
Hopefully, this list helps you all share something special with your mom this year. Here’s to celebrating all the incredible moms out there—with food, love, and more food!

Thanks for a great round-up of recipes! May I make a suggestion – could you post the name of the recipe first, then the photo? (currently the photo is first, then the recipe name – sometimes an ad will get placed in between and the words and photos don’t match up well)
Thanks so much, Jo! Yes, I appreciate your feedback and will try to do this in future recipe roundups! Happy Friday! xx
